Ladies and Gentlemen, fellow Postoholics,
Due to frequent and flagrant abuse of the Longest Threads, the following rules have come into force to ensure the integrity of the EPL is retained for the future (and to give everyone a chance to beat Duncan!).
These rules come into effect as of 13.00 hours BST, 4th April 2004. EPL Markers will be placed within the Longest Thread area, once a week, normally on Saturday to ensure EPL totals are available on Sunday. Posts beyond an EPL marker affect the penalties for the following week.
Multiple posting is NOT big, NOT clever, (and wastes space on the server too!).
Other on-the-spot penalties may be applied outside this rule framework, at the discretion of the EPL Chairman (GPricey), or by the Director of Posting Procedure (Grinfish). These may include:
Post deductions
Bans
Being called a Prat on the B&A Message Board
Anything else we think of that sounds good at the time.
An explanation will be given as to the reason for the punishment on it's application. All penalties will be displayed in the EPL Results at the end of each week.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
EPL POSTING RULES AND PENALTIES
Posting 2-9 times in succession with no reply - YELLOW Card
Posting ten or more times in succession with no reply - RED Card
YELLOW CARD - 5 posts deducted permanently from your EPL record.
RED CARD - 100 posts deducted permanently from your EPL record, 1 week ban from promotion/EPL winning position.
5 YELLOW CARDS - additional 50 post deduction, 1 week ban
10 YELLOWS - additional 100 post deduction, 2 week ban
Each 5 YELLOWS afterwards - add an extra 50 posts to the deduction, and an extra weeks ban.
Example: 25 YELLOWS = ( (-5x25), -50 , -100, -150, -200, -250 ) TOTAL 875 POST TOTAL DEDUCTION! PLUS 5 WEEK BAN!
5 REDS - further 500 Post deduction. 4 week ban.
Example 10 REDS = (-100x10), -500, -500 = 2000 POST TOTAL DEDUCTION AND 10 WEEKS TOTAL BAN!
All BANS run consecutively (You cannot serve one ban until another has finished), and all deductions are permanent.
Any queries or suggestions, direct them to the Chairman or the DPP.
Regards,
Grinfish - BnA EPL DPP
