TOTALLY AGREE 2 GOALS IN MIDWEEK FOR THE RESERVES AND 2 MORE TODAY THE LAD SHOULD BE PLAYING ON TUESDAY BY MERIT ALONE

The lad has been given a chance and has shined, no need to put to much pressure on him though he's not the new Rooney.
Few more performances like todays though and we might just (JUST) slip into play off's or atleast stand a chance last game of season v Vale.
He deserves to start Tuesday i think even a deadhead like Simpson will realise this.

Saw Tom Bradshaw play for the reserves on Tuesday night and he got 2 goals there and all. He has been good for the reserves all season. Glad hes got his chance. Hope he plays Tuesday night against Cheltenham.

Talking of kids making an impact.Well done to Steve Finn the bowler who played in Bangladesh for England.Got only his 2nd 5 wkt haul in the first innings on the opening day of the season and in the 2nd has got 6 out of 7 to fall to have career best figures and his first ever 10 wkt match haul. Always pleasing to see kids take their chances. Make that 8 of 9 in the 2nd innings.

His first goal was a contender for goal of the season, but please let's not put too much pressure on him. It's hardly fair to hail a 17 year old as the potential saviour of our season, particularly when the play-offs look so unlikely anyway.
It was a very, very promising debut though.
Personally, I agree with Mr Bunny - let's bed him in gradually in order to make sure he develops steadily for the future. Today he's done enough to make sure he's in the 18 for the next five games of the season. Let's try and give him (and hopefully others like Richards and the Taylors) the chance to come off the bench and get first team experience whenever possible.

Excellent performance from Tom today but he won't and shouldn't start on Tuesday night. The first goal was a dream to watch from our position in the stands and it was an excellent strike. But by his own admission, it's the first time he's scored from outside the box so it's not like it's something he does regularly. His second was easier to miss than score but he did well to find that position. He came on at a time when Crewe were throwing more men forward and leaving themselves open at the back so it was likely that he would have a couple of chances. It's brilliant to see a young lad do so well on his debut but I think some people are getting a little over excited... Well done Tom

Nice to see there are some sensible voices of reason on here. The lad did well and, at only 17 has time to develope and maybe progress into a very good player. Lets not get carried away and expect him to start on Tuesday night, maybe another late introduction would be better. I'm more pleased to see Hibbo score again. Should do wonders for his confidence.

Hes only just go into the Reserves due to the likes of Bright and Riza being ahead of him, quality everytime i see him for the Youths great signing by Nigel Vaughan.Would keep him on the bench Tuesday lets not put to much pressure on the lad will make a refreshing change to have someone exciting come off the bench.Well done Tom proud of you

Absolutely delighted with his impact at Crewe but I agree with the other sentiments that he should remain on the bench on Tuesday night, there's no need to put too much pressure and expectation on him at this stage IMO....... to be fair though I havent been this excited about an up and coming striker from the youth team since Luke Rodgers came along...........

other strikers take a leaf from his book and actualy shoot now and again. And make forward runs, look for the ball and read your team mates. All areas which Cureton failed on. The lad has gonads to take that shot on, on his debut, but man, what an impact. Very impressive. Hes only just go into the Reserves due to the likes of Bright and Riza being ahead of him, quality everytime i see him for the Youths great signing by Nigel Vaughan.Would keep him on the bench Tuesday lets not put to much pressure on the lad will make a refreshing change to have someone exciting come off the bench.Well done Tom proud of you Agreed. But there shouldn't be any reservation about putting him on early in second half anytime we need something more mobile and willing up front. ;-)

I believe Cureton played well v crewe so should prob get another go. However if you're good enough you're old enough. If Bradshaw's the best option we have then he should play ahead of the others. Simple

Have to echo all that has been said - a great couple of goals that were not only brilliant for him but did a lot for our morale as well. However, we must take it easy with him and not put pressure on him this season - as has been said - a great prospect for our future.
