Hi there,

I've looked and looked and can't seem to find the required information anywhere.

Was just wondering how i might be able to do this?

I can't seem to find the cds that the laptop came with either, although i am not sure if they would be of any use?

if it has a built in factory reset its a case of pressing the right buttons on boot up (f11 maybe during boot up)
if you need the cds then you do need them or like me reinstall windows if you have a windows cd

i would advise getting hold of an xp disc, backing up any important files on to an external HDD and reformatting/reinstalling windows.

you could also try system restore if it's a recent problem that has caused you to want to restore to factory defaults.
