Good stuff John. When I read these I always think 'did he only play that many games for us' or 'I can not belive he played that many times for us'.

Didn't Peter Whiston spend some time with you?
Nice article - wouldn't be so "surprised" about Dazza's move to Birmingham, though! In our glorious 89/90 season he did his cruciate ligament in about March of that season, having scored 30 at a goal a game. Apparently by that time scouts from EVERY top division club were watching him. He wasn't quite the same player afterwards (lost that vital yard of pace) so perhaps the Premiership (Div 1 then!) was beyond him. At the time he signed for Brum Terry Cooper (City's manager in 89/90) was in charge and he had quite a few of the Championship squad there (Miller, Hiley, Cooper, Dryden (?)) at the time.
He was my first City hero, and as such will always have a place in my heart!
Anyway, here's hoping for a good game tomorrow - sadly I can't make it but will be having my usual palpitations via Teletext!
