How are they playing? I appreciate that some supporters are happy to sing the praises of Darby, Street (Street?! ) etc. but I've not heard a great deal about the two new lads (especially Challis). Since signing them we have turned in two decent performance by the sounds of it...I don't think anyone should under estimate the impact these two players have had on the team and the last two performances. Dare I say it...well done Quinn for strengthening the team where it was most needed...my only criticism is that he should have move to strengthen the left side sooner than he did...

As you say they have both put in very strong performances in their first two games.
It's nice to have a left footer at left back and in Challis we have got a very solid looking defender who is excellent in the air considering his size. His distribution has been very good as well.
Lawrence seems like a little terrior and gets stuck in well considering he isn't the biggest of lads. He has a lot of skill and it's easy to see why he's done so well at united

Absolutely. Both have started well and it's a very encouraging sign. More of the same please!

i'm very impressed with both challis and laawrence.
although sam's a legend, lawrence is worth more to our side at the moment i reckon: where sam's battling and tracking back quite often results in a foul, lawrence knows where to hold back. when going forward sam is more exciting to watch but his passes are wayward; lawrence can actually pass the ball and some of his little tricks are sublime. we're spoilt having him here in fact!
i do appreciate that sam's distribution has improved a lot this season however, and he's a very good player for conference and 3rd division level when on form!

A word Stutty - how about Class The kid Lawrence is a cut above - hardworking, good in the tackle, can shoot, pass (a benifit at this club) and can also read the game very well and is rarley caught out of position (unlike lowe) Challis -has started very well and goa few chants last night (much to the bemusment of some ) he will grow in to that position and i would sumise that we will not have to worry about the left back problem again untill we go back up. Good work fromthe 2 last night linking up - a incouraging change from the last few weeks

There's no doubting Lawrence's quality. But don't you feel he's just too small and lightweight? Hendon (admittedly one of the more beefy full-backs he's likely to meet) was simply shrugging him off the ball last night.
Some body-building might help, or would that ruin his mobility?

When does Lawrence's loan spell end ? Confguide says he came here on the 22nd March so that should mean we have him until after the Stevenage match on the 17th April and possibly the Gravesend match on the 20th - is that right ? Also if the loan is for a month can it still be extended until the end of the season (Hopefully, culminating in a victory at Stoke on 16th ;D )

He helped make the goal last night by winning a tackle he had no right to win. He's built like a twig but he gets stuck in and wins a fair share of tackles.

Spot on ant we saw how he got stuck in last night, but i fear that it will lead to some nasty injurys down the line unless he does bulk up a bit - i know hes just a kid still though, but a nasty injust now from some clogger (Redmile) in the conf could ruin a very talented young players carrer Thnat said i hope we can extend his loan, just that theres no chance of him ever moving permently

Some body-building might help, or would that ruin his mobility? As long as he doesn't go to the same gym as Luke

Will Challis play next Tuesday ?
There was a mention on the Telford board that the deal said he would not be allowed to play against them ?

Lawrence is lacking in pace however from what I saw on Saturday which will limit his chances higher up the leagues, but his use of the ball was superb.
