Just got back from Barnet. What an excellent performance and result. In the space of 90 minutes all the recent optimism and hope has come flooding back. We were awesome in the first half and made Barnet look ordinary. More backs to the wall second half but certainly good vale for the win.
Town played a controlled, tight, slick game which while rarely spectcular did all the proper things at all the proper times. A truly, massive, massive result. If we play like this between know and the end of the season we'll not only make the play offs but I'm pretty sure we'll win them.
Howie - had little to do all night but punched, held and kicked well.
Moss - linked up well with Lowe first half and got forward well but was a bit more anonymous as an attacking force in the second half.
Sedge - superb.
Tinson - even better!!
Challis - who needs Gregor Rioch?! What a breath of fresh air after all the pants we've put up with so far this season.
Lawrence - Looked a little bit out of depth at times but his assurance and ball skills are undoubted. Had an excellent game.
Lowe - got well forward and always looked interested in the first half although his crossing was hit and miss. Did little in the second half.
O'Connor - Won most of the battles in midfield and really stabilised the whole game.
Street - why does Quinn see him as a wide man?!! Confident on the ball and a number of simple but effective passes. Was my man of the match at half time.
Banim - full of energy and running but gave the ball away a couple of times. Certainly did enough to keep his place
Derby - WOW - stength, power and no little skill. The guy was immense. An excellent finish and but for two top drawer saves would have had a hat-trick. Pure and simply the man of the match by a mile.
Rodgers / Cramb - neither did much in their short time on the pitch.
