The commentary team are slagging the Town supporters off again.

We're winning, thats all that matters. I would say it sounds a bit evens. Not too much going on. They were complimenting the Barnet crowd on getting behind their team after going behind. Something 'we' don't do.

I think it was Andy being a little critical - tonights partner didn't agree with the sentiment.
Who is with Andy tonight?
Sounds a another good performance - but the commentary, for me, is cutting in and out.

It does blank out every so often doesn't it. Maybe every five minutes but at least the sound quality seems to be much better than Saturdays.

It is the boy Whitfield with Andy, doing a good job of summarising too.

he cant be any worse than Colin Bloomfield for telford games on radio shrops. He said on saturday "There must be at least 4,500 here..." only for the PA to give the attendance as 3,016 about 3 seconds later. Tonight he's said "there are a good two thousand chester fans here" and "I would estimate there to be 4,500 here tonight" so lets wait for it..... ;D

Have they allocated enough space for 2000?

Apparently the away end is full, with some Chester fans on the east terrace as well.

Colin Bloomfield earlier said that chester fans were making their way over to the East Terrace because it was packed behind the goal, so I presume they have the same as we did

fair play to Chester then, I guess that means they will be selling all of their tickets for their game at the Meadow then.

I wish Andy would shut the **** up with his tirade against the club's supporters.
He's a good lad and his commentating has got a lot better but his comments regarding the fans leave a lot to be desired.
Get him out of the prawn sandwich seats and back on the terraces, paying to get in, and let's see him signing for 90 minutes non-stop. Will it happen? No.

I thought the Salop support was fantastic tonight, got behind the players from the start of the match and did so for the full 90 minutes with a lot of singing. Probably around 300 town fans, another good travelling attendance for us - it shows how committed our fans are and well done to the Salop players for showing their appreciation at the end. Not quite sure how anyone (let alone someone who wasn't even on the terraces ) can criticise the town support tonight

Andy Davies has never been short of a opinion or two has he I think he has a point about the home games, SOME fans do get a bit edgy if we go one nil down, but if we go one nil down in a away game I think the fans stick by the team.

Probably around 300 town fans You should also include a certain member of the away supporters and a few of his mates who went in the home end to save some money, didnt last very long after Darby's goal though

Not quite sure how anyone (let alone someone who wasn't even on the terraces ) can criticise the town support tonight quite simply because hes got the mike & facilities to do so.......be a different matter if it was conversational..... Get him back down to earth I say.

before you all go off on one andy didn't critise the town fans tonight.
what he said was a comparison between how the barnet fans reacted to going 1-0 down and how different that can be to being at the meadow.
barnet 1-0 down the whole of the side opposite the stand were shouting and encouraging, that was it.

Have to agree with that Ian, I listened to the match last night and although Andy has been critical in the past I didn't think he was last night...thought he did very well to be honest, very good commentary all-round...
Anyhows, if he's got something to say why shouldn't he say it?

Cheers for clearing that up Whitters. and yes Stutty, everyone has a right to their point of view, it certainly doesn't mean people will agree with it though

If you read my second post in this thread I mention what he said last night. But it was another sly little dig at our fans. I dare say I too wouldn't be too hacked off if I was getting into these games free of charge - try paying to watch some of the stuff we serve up!

Would Andy be happy with a home crowd of 1900?

- ANy way - I vote for Barnet as having the worst home fans in the league - they were silent You have GOT to be having a laugh!! Fair play to the 292 Shrews fans that travelled, to be honest I didn't hear much of you because of our noise but when I did, it was quite reasonable. Certainly louder than the likes of Chester who could only make noise with drums. We however, can make noise with both drums and voice! Oh and by the way, you p**sed all over us and deserved 3 points and more goals. I'm thoroughly p**sed off!
