Firstly, I genuinely feel sorry for the real fans of TUFC. I would not wish that on any club, except Man Ure, but are we surprised? I posted a message on B&A, early season, relating to some figures, passed on by a director of TUFC. Wages = 39 weeks @ £23k = £897k Gates = 21x1500x£9 = £283.5k Not including any other expenses or overheads, this equates to a loss of £613.5k just through the season, not taking into account any wages paid during the summer months, when income would be minimal. If Shaw ran all his businesses like this, and it appears that the bulk of the enterprise operated on bank loans, then, surely it was a disaster waiting to happen. Also, did anyone else notice how many rooms at the hotel, appeared to be unoccupied, the night we played there?Or were guests sitting in the dark, because the electricity bill had not been paid? Finally, the fans of the club, seemed to put blind faith in Shaw; I guess it's human nature to believe someone who tells us things we long to hear. Surely, if they had just stepped back, they must have realised that it would all end in tears. Would YOU buy a second-hand car from a man, hiding behind dark glasses? Neither would I!

I'll be honest I'm not surprised, Telford's finances were solely dependent on one man and if that man ever ran into trouble, which he now has, then the club would be dragged along with that man into the s**t.
If RW went bust tomorrow would the club also be on the verge? The answer is no, as it is us, the fans who keep the club going. Unfortunately Telford dont have a large enough fanbase to justify their players salaries, it wouldnt even surprise me if they were paid by Miras and not the club itself.
I sympathise greatly with Telford and am desperate to see them survive, I just hope that when the new owner arrives they wont solely rely on him to revive their fortunes.

Who was paying the players, who knows? However, when clubs were being investigated for breaking the Conference wage cap, we all wondered how Shaw could justify the enormous wage bill, which far exceeded the 65% of the previous season's income. Simple, he declared that all Telford United employees, were in fact employed by the parent company,MIRAS.

I don't think anyone is surprised that problems have arisen.
But I would say the majority of us thought that Andy Shaw would walk away, not go bankrupt.
Nobody seemed to see that coming.

I think the thing we are probabley - (like the telford fans) surprised by is the speed at which it has happended - theres talk of the club being gone by 3pm today unless 64k can be found and gaurntees given to the league that they can play the last 7 games!!!!!
What the FA have to say in relation to the trophy god only knows yet!!!! (would we want back in anyway?)
The fact that since 9Am yesterday to the same time today things just keep getting worse would scare the crap out of me of i were a telf fan

exkeeper, the thing is there's also signing on fees aswell which wouldn't have been insignificant - remember somehow they were able to out do 3rd and 2nd division clubs for Lee Mills according to them - the only way that they could have done that is by giving him a lot more money than 2nd division clubs were offering.
They've also spent some money, was it £30k they paid for Moore?
And of course the new stadium
