Whilst waiting for Mr Wiggy in the doctor's waiting room today, I browsed through two copies of FOUR-FOUR-TWO magazine. There was a book review section, and The Ripple Effect was mentioned; another two books I thought looked interesting were- Soccer's Strangest Matches by Andrew Ward (£8.99) And I definitely like the sound of this- "Who ate all the pies?" by Mick Quinn (Well I would, wouldn't I?!) There is also one that might help me to become a bit more clued-up- "Soccer Fundamentals" by Danny Mielke (I'm not so bad on STFC's History, though- I've got it all printed off and filed- how sad is that to have an STFC file!!- I could easily revise it for purposes of a quiz at some future date!) Also, there was an article on Football greats- and Arthur Rowley was featured. (I that to be a good sign, somehow!!)

Respect Wiggy for reading 442, that magazine is produced just over the road from me.
I haven't read a footy magazine in ages, I might get myself one for the train ride home tomorrow. Is 442 still the best one?

Never has been IMHO I have always read When Saturday Comes which is still the best. Having said that I subscribe to 442 as well

I enjoyed it- interesting articles for everyone, really. There was a feature about Football chants and one for the ladies- about fanciable players- a review of the "talent"- and it was very funny.
It said that you could virtually put any geeky looking guy with less than classical looks to put it mildly, in a Football kit- and as long as he had the lifestyle and the car, as well- he'd be a babe-magnet!!! It mentioned Peter Scmeichel and his red nose, and Lee Bowyer- "Warthog"- bit unkind that, I thought!!
But yes- a very entertaining read.
