Do we get a percentage of the gate money when we play at the bucks head in the league?
If so, wouldnt it be a nice gesture of the club to donate it back to TUFC minus expences.

errr im all for the fans of this club helping out in many different ways but im not sure im confortable with the club givving monay away - in the situatuin we are in (we might be in this leage next year again)
In a perfect world when we were in Div3 i would have said fine but not today in the football finances climate we play in
They could have a one last Shropshire Champions game for the end of the season - you would get 4000+ for it at the NBH and then give em all that money!!

thats a good idea gpricey, it's bound to pull the fans in. If the Shropshire Star were to give it some major advertising too, we could get a gate of 5,000 or so down there.

No point in this thread as the gate money isnt split - The home side gets to keep it all.

But wouldn't any money generated go straight into paying off Shaw's creditors?
With his business interests that could mean the money ends up paying builder's salaries in Hednesford and may not help the football club at all.
I think any fundraising to help a businessman in receivership is a bad idea - let's keep well clear of this one.
The way things look Telford may have to sell their ground at the very least to pay off Shaw's debts.
To me it looks like TUFC is finished and will have to start again from scratch barring a miracle.

All donations need to be kept seperate so that an informed decision of how to use the money can be made. Whether that is giving money to keep TUFC going or funding an alternative remains to be seen.

Possibly the council will buy the ground and rent it back to the club but on present gates even that would be difficult with the rent required.

And imagine the outcry from the pensioners, already upset at having to pay the increase, without the council blowing it on a footy ground. Hang on, this argument has a ring of familiarity....

I think TUFC may struggle to sell the ground, as I am led to believe that they don't own it. I have been told by a resident of Wellington ( lifelong fan of STFC ), and a friend of one of Telford's directors, that the main stand, is owned by Whitehouse Hotels/Miras.
