You may know of these Virus's but they seem new to me...
I'm getting virus's thorugh which, have an attachement that look like (as in the zip icon) zip files but end in .gif so bewarned!
Also I've had a series of e-mails in the past half hour asking me to visit my own website for an e-mail. I have not clicked on the link but persume that it can only lead to disaster.
The one thing in commom with all of these is that they are sending the e-mail through with a '.' in front of my name: ie: .giles.rigby@......
Hope this helps as a warning to others.

There's a lot about this at www.sophos.com/The latest virus (W32/Netsky-P) is a mass-mailing worm which spreads by emailing itself to addresses harvested from files on the local drives. So you don't have to be in the address book of someone who's PC is affected. The worm copies itself to the Windows folder as FVProtect.exe and adds the following registry entry to run itself whenever the user logs on to the computer: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Norton Antivirus AV = <Windows>\FVProtect.exe The worm will also copy itself to various peer-to-peer shared folders often using rude filenames, so watch what you download from kazaa The worm has a trigger date of 24th of March 2004, at which time it will attempt to mass mail. So I guess its the start of another deluge of viruses
