Best moment of an otherwise very disappointing day was when I heard that Carlisle had gone down 2 0 at Rochdale. 10 points adrift of safety and only 9 games left! This time there can SURELY be no reprieve!

there can SURELY be no reprieve! haven't you learnt yet? CUFC are the luckiest team in the world and if you tempt fate then.... ;D

Would prefer if they did, Carlisle is too far to travel to!

Carlisle have picked up 26 points in their last 16 games. Thats play off form but I think they have left it a little late to get out of this hole, but they have managed it before so I wouldn't be too surprised. If things had gone well for them today they would only have been 4 points off safety, but now they are 10

Carlisle wouldnt be allowed to join the Scottish League, unless one of its 42 member clubs either resigns or folds, that is how their near neighbours Gretna got in after Airdrieonians went bankrupt. The Scottish League is bascially a closed shop so it would be the Conference for them, some of their younger fans are knobs (but every club has them, including us) but overall the supporters of CUFC are a decent bunch.

The supporters may be ok but they still deserve to be relegated.

I wouldnt deny that, they have overridden their good fortune a little, I wouldnt cry if they stayed up though.

I'd only like Carlisle to go down if we go up. It's not a favourite place of mine to go and watch Town play it must be said.

Agree with Ant here, lets say we don't go up this season and Carlisle join us in the Conference. Say then next season we get a fixture pile up similar to the one we are approaching now, with Carlisle away being one of the fixtures. If you think the next few weeks (and past few weeks) are expensive, that one would really finish you off!
