Seems like sats game is gonna be played in a gale and the tuesday game will be under threat from flooding
- this is an official Met office wether warning - quite a serious thing im led to belive - well talksport are running with the comeing disruption as there 3rd main story in the news reports
Here is an ADVANCE WARNING of Severe Gales affecting Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales.
Issued by the Met Office at 09:35 on Thursday, 18 March 2004.
The Met Office continues to forecast two depressions to affect the UK within the next 72 hours, the first to cross central parts of England on Friday morning and the second to sweep quickly northeastwards on Saturday afternoon with the centre pushing further north. Both low pressure systems are expected to generate gusts on their southern flanks of 70-80mph over exposed coasts and 60 mph inland. However, there remains uncertainty regarding the intensity of the systems, and each still has the potential to develop into a major storm, with damaging winds gusting 80-90mph over exposed coasts and 70mph inland, which would cause structural damage and disruption to transport. Southern England and South Wales are most at risk on Friday, whilst northern England is most at risk on Saturday.
Theres also a flood advance waring for the rain these storms are going to bring
And as a final comment the message board wether people - who i have said on a number of occasions are very accurate - are quite exsited about these storms which means that theres going to be trouble cos thay love trouble (rain, thunder, gales, hail, floods (even talk of hurricanes )
