Just wanted to voice my appreciation of the gracious and sporting comments of a number of Shrews fans on Buckschat. Nice to see that despite the rivalry we can appreciate a good game of football, and occasionally wish each other luck! I dont think id manage to be such a gracious loser if the scoreline was reversed so fair play to you. Best of luck for the rest of the season (except one game obviously)

Cheers Its not easy having to say well done etc etc especially to local rivals, but at the end of the day it is only a game and there are more important things in life.

Thanks. I'd like to think of the Trophy going to you and the championship to us (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) this would be so good for Shropshire football. However, I think playoffs is where we are going to be.

It never ceases to amaze me, but after the trouble last night, how come there were only 6 arrests Why dont the police grab the soddin lot of them and bang em up. We dont want them, we dont need them. They didnt come for the footy, thats obvious, but once again a tiny minority gets a nice big spread in the shroppy star.

Think you'll find you prick that its Shrewsbury Hooligans and not Shrewsbury Fans, as there wasnt ONE Scarf,Shirt or Hat with anything to do with STFC on them.
Now find the door and exit out of it.

Well done Salop fans, the real STFC fans never cause any trouble. However there are a few people who associate themselves with the club who are intent on causing trouble - w****rs

It always makes me laugh when they cheer when Shrews score. What does it matter to them?

Strange how some things DON'T get reported, such as cars obviouly belonging to Shrews fans, getting their doors kicked in, presumably by Telford's share of zombies.

Never witnessed the incident but i over-heard someone saying a young girl was hit coming out of the ground if thats true they should indentfy the t**ts and charge them. The neandrathals who associate themselves with Salop and Telford are nothing but scum, and the mi-use and genralsing of the word of "Fans" by a certain paper is insulting to the innocent majority who are all well-behaved. I'd like to apologise to anyone who over-heard my swearing out-burst in wrexin college car park after nearly becoming female after a accidental collision with a rail, if i was a couple of inces taller in height i think i might of been in trouble . Also suprised by Telfords stadium i was fully expectating another Chester or Sc***horpe shoebox and once the Eastern Terrace is re-developed it should look impressive for this level. The view on the Frank Naggington stand aint like the Wakeman, it was a novelty having a roof

Oh dear! J_P Shrew deemed it necessary to e-mail me threatening me to 'back off' etc for taking the mickey out of him further up the thread. The evidence was there to read and see in the Shropshire Star - riot shields the lot. No-one can dispute that. Thankyou for your e-mail John Phillips. The following report is a total fabrication and the picture was tampered by the same people who stooged the first lunar landing pictures... It's all lies lies lies lies lies Fans clash at Bucks FA Trophy victory Shropshire Star Police in riot gear were called in to break up rival football fans as a series of flare-ups marred a stormy Shropshire derby clash. A total of six people were arrested before, during and after last night's FA Trophy quarter-final replay between Telford United and Shrewsbury Town. In the worst of the trouble a Wellington pub had its windows smashed and its curtains set on fire before the game. Police insisted their "robust, but fair" approach had kept problems to a minimum and said the majority of fans had been well-behaved. Extra officers were called in for the clash at the Bucks Head and the game was made all-ticket in a bid to avoid trouble. Bosses at Telford United, who celebrated their first competitive victory over their county rivals in more than 60 years, winning 2-1, praised the police for keeping a lid on potential problems around the ground. Trouble flared in Wellington before the game as around 50 Shrewsbury fans crammed into The Oddfellows Arms in High Street. Landlady Sandra Price said bottles were thrown through the pub windows, curtains were set on fire, seats slashed and staff were faced with vandals urinating in the corridors. The group of fans were ejected and led to the ground at around 6.30pm by more than 50 officers. She said the pub had been packed with a chanting throng who were being taunted from outside by more than 50 Telford supporters. Mrs Price said: "The first lot of fans were brilliant. But then a second lot came in. That's when it kicked off. The bottles were going through the window, and they set fire to the pub. "They were animals. They stole the pool balls and completely trashed the toilets." Superintendent Peter Robinson, who led the policing operation, confirmed that three people had been arrested for public order offences in Wellington before the game. He said another three arrests were made after kick-off, one inside the ground, and four people were ejected by match stewards at half-time. "It is only ever a small number of individuals who are intent on causing trouble among some 4,400 who enjoyed the game but troublemakers were monitored and problems dealt with speedily and effectively." Robin Eaves, of Telford United, said the atmosphere inside the ground was brilliant and added that the club was hoping for a cup final appearance at Villa Park.

What are you on? Look through that picture find me one scarf, one hat, one shirt that had STFC on it..you cant. The same would apply for the so-called TUFC fans that where there too.
Now I can delete that post as we have already seen it, read about etc etc
Are you a PR Manager for Football Thugs? If so you sir are a disgrace to society

I'm afraid you'll have to heed your fellow Shrewsbury fans comments further up the thread. Football violence culture these days tends to contain individuals who do not wear their teams colours. Like it or lump it I'm afraid these Shrewsbury people fall into the catergory of 'Shrewsbury fans'.

Well this has given me something to do whilst we have no game, why arent you at the Wrexham game V_V? you are at home to Swindon....part time supporters ay!
