Club spokesperson Heather Cook said: "We've had heavy snow overnight and although it will thaw and there's rain forecast overnight, it's definitely in the balance.
"We will hold a pitch inspection in the morning if needs be, but ideally we'll make a decision before that."

Can definitely see the snow thawing by tomorrow, but then it will leave the pitch soggy so its a no win situation really!
If the game's off tomorrow and if we beat Telford, we could have to play four midweek games in two weeks, hope FGR do all they can to get the game on.

Tell FGR there will be 500 groundsmen coming from Shrewsbury to sort things out if they think the game cant be saved ;D
I just hope they dont make a rash decision today, the weather forecast looks okay for tomorrow, it would make sense to make the decision tomorrow morning.

They're looking at the pitch at 4.30pm. Wouldn't surprise me if they call it off then.

Five inches is seemingly a great exaggeration. My relatives live very near the football ground and tell me that five is closer to two.

I'm leaving for Cheltenham in less than an hour so it had better be on!!! Surely all the snow will have melted away and the weather forecast I've just seen said it would rain but I don't think we're looking at torrential downpours so the pitch should be OK. I'm still hopeful...

Looks like it's a case of whether they fancy it or not. Big thaw is expected tomorrow but of they're drainage is like Telford's we're knackered. 50-50 I reckon judging by the amount of snow in Worcestershire ...

Yeah, it's the low cloud cover that is preventing any thawing. I would guess that the chances of the game going ahead are very, very small.

Spoke to Forest Green and they will inspect pitch at 0830 tomorrow morning. Guy on phone did not seem too positive about prospects!

You'll have a good night clubbing in Cheltenham anyway - it's a good night out. I've just got back from work (early as there were no kids in today - so why was I the only one stupid enough to go in?) and the snow on my particular bit of the Cotswolds was melting like f***. Having said that, it's all very wet and the forecast is cold and wet tonight. Should be dry tomorrow. There's no snow left in Gloucester now.
