FORMER Everton and Wales defender Kevin Ratcliffe has turned down the chance to manage Caernarfon Town. The Canaries had lined-up Ratcliffe to replace Adie Jones, who was sacked from his job at The Oval last week after three and a half years in charge. Formerly boss of Chester and Shewsbury, who he managed to last season's famous FA Cup win over his former Merseyside club, Ratcliffe is currently working for the media and felt unready for another managerial challenge. Caernarfon chairman George Denham says he will be talking to three more potential candidates this week. "We want a manager who will build on the advances we have made," he said. Wayne Phillips is in temporary charge of the Cofis, who face leaders TNS next weekend. "The fans are entitled to see effort and commitment," says Denham. "Adie Jones did a great job, but was not getting the best out of his players." www.tnsfc.co.uk

last season will have been an invaluable expereince for him. I'd have thought it'll only help make him a better manager.
And before you have a dig, yes I know he lost the plot, but before then he was treated like a God.
