Someone asked this question (Jamo?) a couple of weeks back and Judy got back to me with the following:
"There are between 375 and 450 each game they go to:- players and opponents if they reciprocate youth team lottery and lucky 7 agents Stewards/Gatemen Centre of excellence have two for each boy and girl. schools Then as one offs there are those Contra agreements ie for work done at GM by a firm etc rather than paying cash."
If there are any other ticketing questions, then post them here and someone will raise them tonight.
Cheers

Waht time frame are the club looking at (if at all) to review prices next season - will a promotion mean rises or staying down mean falls??? Playoffs - is that gonna be all ticket yes or no??? (again if we get there) just a indication of the future would be nice gareth Also if they have so many spares going for each match why cant the fan of the week get a free ticket to each game as a reward for there loylty? just thought it would be a nice idea and only cost 1 ticket extra a week!!!

Thank's for that Gareth, it was me who asked the original question. I don't quite know if those figures surprise me or not ! It seems about right but in percentage terms it works out around 20% of each home gate which to me seems a little excessive. Then again i might just be a tight old git

450 tickets? Thats £6300 lost revenue. Is the complimentry tickets included in the final gate announcement?

I just realised what I put. It wouldn't be lost revenue, because it would not mean those tickets would have been bought. I Believe im right in thinking complimentry tickets are not issued for cup games, so games like last seasons FA Cup run would have not had lost revenue doh!

Personally, I believe the tickets are often used by people who would have otherwise paid to get in (I've done it once, and so has my Dad).
Should the situation be reviewed? I'd say so, but couldn't say either way whether it is a good system or not.

What category are those people who knock on the gate by the season ticket entrance and are let into the Wakeman Stand ?
I'm sure we've all seen it happen

i always laugh if i'm at the meadow at about 2:30
there are dozens of people hanging around for someone to turn up with a free ticket
its time stfc clamped down on this
i'm not against players wives and kids getting in etc but give them a pass with a pic on it
i get a limited amount of free rail passes but i can't turn up at the station and give them away of flog them (they can only be used by me)
if they are being given to people who would otherwise pay then stfc are losing out
if they are given to people who would otherwise not come then don't give them as they are not fans

Over a season it would be money that the club can't afford to lose.

I agree, a lot of the people who get in for free come down week in week out and if they had to pay, they would. 3/400 is way too much for a club our size. We should be looking to maximise revenue.
