We'd better drop the Doncaster Pork Butcher, then we'd be ok ? Steve, did you see MJs top quotes thread on conferenceguide? My favorites were....... "I'd blow up my house for a clean sheet" and "It was the sort of cross that had "please put me in the back of the net" written on it"

I think he's great.
He's very under-rated I think and if these sort of quotes raise his and the club's profile good luck to him. It might be daft, but he's harmles enough. I do wish he'd pack this stupid name-dropping in though
I wasn't sure about him for the first 4-5 months, but I think he'll do a good job in the medium to long term.
All these people questioning his ability are being foolish, he should be judged come the end of NEXT season, not before.

Don't think he will be there then, somehow. I was told by a friend of Mr Cave, that Sandie Shaw is livid, at having to pay "x" thousand pounds each week, for Mills, Green and Murphy to sit in the stands. He has apparently likened the club to an A&E ward. He is also NOT amused by the fact that they are unlikely to make the play-offs.

Fao Snfc, he's a nice friendly chap i'll give you that and had many a chat with him however he will do a good job medium to long term if he's happy to be in the conf long term, and without checking whoever made the point about "AS" can agree with that he aint happy with the fact there not in contention of being in the top half and having a chance of getting out the conf through the playoffs.

I would doubt Telford are playing close to £2 million a year on staff like we are.

As I have posted on Buckschat this morning, he deserves at least until the end of next season to get things working.
I think that had we not had the cup and trophy distraction we would have been in with a shout of the play-offs. I gave up on the play-offs way back at the start of January and nothing has changed my mind about that.
He needs to keep the nucleus he has, dispose of Blackwood (you knew that was coming!), Williams, Moore (x2), Rowe etc and bring in 4 or 5 quality players, preferably with some being good non-league players.
Alternatively, he could try 4-4-2, which I have been bouincing on about for weeks now and try some of these players in their favoured positions. He's nowt to lose. We aren't going up, don't think we'll get dragged in to the relegation slots and we can give players a chance to impress or sign thier own death warrants.

If you are having a reserve side and he lets 5 go then surely he would need to bring in about 10 or 12 again?

I think that if we have a squad of about 20 players, the reserves can be made up of trialists and youth players, which is what most clubs seem to do in this instance.

fao exkeeper i don't think M.Jones can be blamrd for having injuries to Mills,Green and Murphy no matter who is signed there is always the chance of injuries. As for Tamworth fan can we play you every week? we win the league
