And too right as well Stutty - he wanted to play for the club he looked passionate and was gutted to go off. The Crowd thought the same booing the disision at first then chanting darby songs as he went off. And Darby clapped all the fans before his out burst. The cramb proceeded to get worse then get A LOT of stick from the fans!!!!
And darby did not go home after the game he stayed and met fans in the bar afterwards - what a man!!
As for Quinn - he has p**sed players off before and will do so again - but im all for players showing some fight and passion and if Quinn dont like it he will be making a mistake!

Gp- he was almost as petulant as Cramb a few weeks ago when he was left out- didnt hear you then going on about passion.

There is a difference between getting pulled off in the middle fo one of your best performaces for the club and being passionate about it and just winging to the paper in the middle of the week cos you you got dropped for not being good enough!!!

See my comments on another thread somewhere about the muttering and honestly if looks could have killed ......... however if he's got that much passion and pride - good on him. I've just read Jimmy's comments on the match and he says more or less the same thing indicating he would be disappointed if DD hadn't been furious at coming off.

It's not a case of Cramb v. Darby- we have 5 strikers all with different attributes- you would think that would a blessing but it's not because it is not obvious who to play and in what formation. Cramb worked harder last night and was creative as usual- I dont think he should be slagged off just because Darby was surprisingly substituted. Ratcliffe had too many favourites last year- Quinn does not appear to have- good thing

Sorry Paul but I disagree
He certainly has players he doesnt favour such as Fitzy and Leon. I think his treatment of these guys is disgraceful

Leon is a right back who is no where near Darran Moss on this year's form. Fitz is a wide left player who is no where near Sammy's form this year (and Fitz has been injured half the time). I hardly think that's disgraceful

How about when one or the other is injured or suspended The game was crying out for Fitzy to come on when Sammy went off.... But no Jimmy in his infinate wisdom went with Street Jimmy just doesnt want to give these others a chance and its bl00dy obvious

Yes of course - its just you are always very pro Quinn when he has made may mistakes this season - but yeah he is doing overall a good job and deserves some credit - but im not particually happy with the way that we play football and as a paying customer i have a right to complain! Anyway - he brought Darby and Banim to the club whch was a very good thing

Yes I am pro Quinn but not to the point of being blinkered- I try to be positive and support the manager because he has a tough job, and its easy for people on here to be experts in hindsight.

Maybe Street was brought on to try and steady the ship so to speak, as altho' we had just scored, Leigh had been on top.
Not saying it was the right decision, I was personnaly hoping Quinn would bring an attacking option on to try and take the game to them.

We're still not as bad as Cheater City. What a bunch of hoof-merchants. Gippos in a biscuit tin, that's what I say.

If that was one of Darby's best games, then he must be poor. True, he worked hard, but the goal was a fluke - had acres of the goal to aim at, got it wrong and passed it back to the keeper who obligingly let it though his legs.
Cramb was no better either - I'd have Banim on from the start but I'm not sure which striker JQ is more afraid of upsetting.
