Is it true that Mr Wycherley is infact the personal owner of towns training ground and supporters are being asked to help fund any improvements?

Mr Wycherley is indeed the owner of the training ground. Where do you get the story of supporters funding improvements from

Thought it was common knowledge, maybe someone from one of the supporters groups could confirm whether they have been approached?

Bring my message to top!
Is nobody else concerned that the club are asking for money from supporters to fund something that is not owned by the club?
I understand that its for the overall benefit of the club, but wouldnt supporters money be better spent on supporting the youth team? like Blue & Amber.

Georgie - this will be an interesting debate if what you are saying is proven correct but at the moment nothing has been said to confirm. Where did you hear this and are you sure it's not just something simple like getting the fans to add a lick of paint to the changing rooms etc?

It needs a higher fence Burgess end of the training ground. I was checking the machinery out in Burgess the other week and was nearly hit twice by balls from the training ground. Cramb and Darby were having shooting practice at the time

Nobody has said anything about buying the materials as far as I know, but there has been something in the background for a while about the fans doing up the huts. But nothing has ever come of it.

It would be unfair to name, but im quite sure one supporters group have been approached, and i was pretty certain, another supporters group have already contributed to the cause earlier this season. (but i cant fid the evidence for my life!)
Not trying to cause trouble, im just concerned, that the club seem to be taking advantage of the good nature of fans.

If anyone has contributed I'm fairly certain nothing has been spent on it.

Is it true that Mr Wycherley is infact the personal owner of towns training ground and supporters are being asked to help fund any improvements? Andy Shaw owns the Hotel and the stand at Telford with all the facilities in. If I bought Telford now all I would buy is the pitch and three sides of the ground, Shaw has the rest ties up. Compared to that Roland owning the training ground is hardly controversy and asking fans to help do it up is a very basic and accepted practise.

the supporters groups have helped do up the training ground from the time jake was here and we had the groud for the first time.
the training ground is used by a lot of people including the youth, coe and women's sides from time to time.
the supporters groups have been asked and have also offered to help do up the huts etc. nothing has come of it yet as it's better to work out what needs to be done and formulate a plan before getting paint brushes out.
out of interest george why is this so worrying? the supporters have always helped with the training ground.

It up to the differnet supporters groups to spend their money on what they think best, if Wycherley owns the training ground, (like Andy Shaw owning the Telford stand) then thats fine, i dont object thats how football clubs have to operate to keep afloat.
i was just suggesting that in consideration of the fact the club are getting rid of the academy next year if we dont get promoted then the youth team could probably do with the help instead of our millionaire chairman. im sorry if you dont agree.
Its good that Wycherley lets the indivdual groups use the training ground for free, so maybe painting is a good way of saying thankyou.

Shaw has taken the main asset of TUFC and put it under his own name
that is entirely different from Wycherley
No-one has said the club will get rid of the academy, in fact, it is not an academy anymore anyway
the directors have financed the youth system themselves this year, and the same next year

I really hope its not true, i hope even more we dont have to find out, and we just get promoted, but i've been led to believe that the money wont be there next season if we dont go up, in which case, i would like to suggest in the nicest possible way that the supporters should help them as much as possible, and not a millionaire with a broken fence. Again im sorry if im out of line
