They only 1500 to West Ham for their 5th round replay But then I suppose they were worried yesterday about all the congestion on the M1/M6 competing with Man U fans from Surrey for road space ;D ;D ;D

to be fair, Fulham have come such a long way in such a short space of time that it is going to take a very long time for them to pick up new fans. It doesn't help that they have to play their home games away from Craven Cottage either. But 3,000 to Old Trafford is quite poor, especially as they had already won 3-1 there earlier in the season. You could understand if they were going up there on a hiding to nothing.

Do any of us actually know how much it costs to watch Fulham?
Its probably expensive getting into games and travelling long distances at silly times in the day.
I certanly dont envy them.

Fulham were offered either 9,000 or 3,000 tickets, and elected to take 3,000 rather than pay for any unsold tickets. Given that we're potentially/technically approaching about £90m in debt (Depending on whether Al Fayed ever calls in his 'loans', we're not really in a position to be losing money in this way) it probably was the right call to make.
We the full 9,000 up to OT in the cup in 97-98, but I suspect that on this occasion, we'd have only sold about 5-6,000 and hence we'd have had to pay Utd about £100,000 back in unsold tickets.
The 12:30 k.o. entailed most of our support setting-off at about 05:30-6:00 and making our way up to OT for the televised game. Without meaning to appear smug, once you've been there a few times, it's not actually one of the better away games - crap atmosphere, crap pubs, you spend the whole day surrounded by idiots with no sense of pride in their hometowns etc.
Our season-tickets are the best part of £600 and each away game (With our wonderful trains) works out the best part of a ton. Tickets for our derby at the Bridge are £42 each for one of the worst views in the division - it's not cheap! I've gone from going away 90% of the time in the lower divisions to something like 40%.
Added to the cost is the fact that the club have alienated a lot of our hardcore support by the underhand shenanigans that have come to light over the proposed redevelopment of the Cottage etc. and some of our most loyal supporters have just simply stopped going along to games.
Still, back to the Cottage next season and hopefully things will improve in terms of our support. Seems strange, but despite the fact that the football's invariably much better in the Prem, a lot of us miss life in the lower divisions...

Some excellent points Kilburn.
However, still surprised that any team only takes 3,000 fans for an FA Cup 1/4 final.
Whilst I still have great envy for Rotherham, Crewe etc. who have done so well to get to Division 1 (in fact I envy most Nationwide League clubs) , I certainly do not envy the fans of Fulham.
I would not want that to happen to STFC.
