This is a very silly thread in my opinion anyone posting anything stupid tends to get a good hiding on here anyway, whether from Shrewsbury or Telford I happen to think SNFC and Bally really add something to this board, Lee is ok when he is not being gushing about his new woman and Sim has managed a whole week without swearing so fair enough! I think the rivalry thing has just matured and now I would much rather be across the table in a pub taking the mick out of a telford fan than behind a security fence with a line of police dogs between us just a thought...

Lets just concentrate on the Town eh? When it comes to Telford there's only one thing that matters and that’s the Conference table...no need to say owt, it's there for all to see...

This is a difficult one and one from which I have refrained from posting on thus far.
I can see the arguement put forward from Jamo and whilst I don't agree with it I can respect what he is saying.
The difference from Buckschat and B&A is quite simply the sense of community in my opinion. This is reflected in the fact that most of the regular Shrews B&A people know each other and converse outside of attending matches.
Telford fans tend to be insular beings and this is reflected in the fact that although I am a fan of some 20 years, I don't know most of the Buckschat posters.
This is a fair reflection on the message boards as well as the clubs in general IMO. I always get the impression that the average B&A user is more likely to help Shrews than Buckschat user is to help Telford.
This goes much deeper than the club, or course, with all the other associated problems of a manufactured town, created on paper rather than one which has evolved around industry or demographics. Simply the community spirit is in its infancy in Telford and it'll probably take a good 100 years or so to bed in.
I have always felt at home on B&A, with the exception of a couple of times when people have insulted me personally, which I take exception to! I am happy to respect opinions even though I don't agree with some of them.
In general, the only time opponents posting causes a problem is when the are being provocative or rude, which is something admin tend to deal with pretty quickly on here, but can sometimes be poor on Buckschat (i.e. the mystery poster that upset Lee last week).
End of Waffle!

Ant you're only against the appreciation society posts because you arent a member of any of the societies.

It could be compared to a little love affair, Telford are just filling the void untill somone/something curvyier and more substantial comes along. they'll mostly be gone within the next 6months. I hope

Surely the whole point of a message board is to listen to others views and post your own! In which case banning people from the board goes completely against the whole ethos? Surely if you don't want to read something from a telford fan just ignore it. As far as I'm concerned the comments and posts from the Telford fans are as valid and welcome as those from Town fans! It would be a very dull world if everyone always agreed!

Ant you're only against the appreciation society posts because you arent a member of any of the societies. Not true, one or two of them was a good laugh, now they've been over done, they just clutter the board IMO. Of course you're more than welcome to keep posting about them no matter how much I, or anyone finds them tedious.

MAAS was the original and will always be best as far as Appreciation Societies go ;D
As far as the debate goes I have no problems with the Telford fans on here, Bally and Sim seem ok, I've had some decent chats with Lee on the longest thread or through PM and stevenelson seems a very fair and even bloke.
I post on the Bucks site as I know a couple of people on there, I don't see the problem with Telford fans doing the same here.

While some may consider JAMO to be a swearword I found him to be a helpful boy and a credit to the school!
