Gradually over the months this board as ceased to be an outlet for Shrewsbury Town fans to enjoy some banter and discuss all things blue and amber and as become more an amalgam of Shropshire football chat. There have been more posts allowed from Telford supporters and their Wolves buddies than is healthy, you either take steps to limit their input or just join all the sites together and get on with it. You even have the situation of Telford supporters being congratulated on the number of posts they've made. I,m all for a little friendly banter but this is becoming rediculous, it, s time they were told to go and play with their own mates. We all know they won't do it voluntarily because this sites so infinately better than Duckschat, in the same way that STFC is infinately better than TUFC. It's time their hand was forced. Bring on the 16th...........

it may be just a coincidence that over the last few months telford became our current biggest rivals if we go up they won't post next year as for being friendly only last week on the message board a town fan threatened to knife a telford fan i think friendly banter is much more acceptable

Nah.
To be fair the TUFC lads don't post TUFC related stuff on here with the exception of their thoughts on the game - any team's supporters do that.
As far as I'm concerned as long as SNFC and co continue to bring good contributions to the board in terms of football debate then there's nothing wrong.
Let's face it what SNFC and co post is no worse than the 'Appreciation society' stuff and the needless FAO messages that plague this board.
Just my opinion like...

Im in agrement with Jamo - they have become a nuicence recently - and its not as if they dont have there own board The all have some sort of addiction to this board and therefore the club. And with the games coming up with telford this is only going to get worse -and pretty much all there cokments are just pointless insults. Go home!!!

Not all of them make pointless comments. The good Telford lads who have posted here regularly are welcome to continue to do so as far as Im concerned. Its not as if we arent able to go onto their and do likewise....If only there was someone else there ;D

Jamo i think you will find a few do come on our website i can't see the problem myself? Bally, i have nothing against people posting on here when it's relevant, but it's got ot the stage that you nearly have to give notice now ahead of a Telford fan . With the recent and upcoming games between us there's a place for the banter but after that your just another team that we have to beat if we want to be successful, spend your energies improving the quality of Duckschat, you'd certainly get more respect from me if you did.

seriously, why would you register for another teams website. Perhaps i'm old fashioned but i want my footie to have an edge to it, a rivalry that hurts when it goes wrong, not a cosy love in that has all the passion of a W.I meeting

I'd rather concentrate on my own club to be honest.

Got to admit all this Shrewsbury/Telford whos better arguement is just getting tedious now. As if any right minded fan of either team is going to say the other team is better.
I agree that the board is now somewhat annoyingly been inflitrated by telford fans, this is a Shrewsbury board for Shrews fans and i want to say what ever i want about telford without having to defend anything i say by them coming on here defending telfords honour to the hilt.

this is definately an age thing. Ant i saw your picture on an earlier thread and i guess your in your mid to late twenties. i'm double that and remember the times when footie was about partisanship and aggression. I don't advocate a return to those days but the mindset still remains, it's your own team and stuff everybody else. Younger fans have to except that there is a raft of supporters that still feel uncomfortable about fratanising with the "enemey"

Yeh certainly I can accept that viewpoint Jamo, no arguments there owd lad. And I think you are the first person ever to over-estimate my age (I'm 20 btw) - last weekend when ordering a drink I was asked for ID and the barman couldn't believe I was nearly 21

whilst some of the shrewsbury/telford stuff has become tedious I don't see the telford fans who post on here as a problem in anyway. Let 'em all come (there's not many of them anyway is there providing they post relevant stuff which mostly they do. Personally. I think the board is enhanced by having outside perspectives -from telford or other clubs. We can all get too insular. Jamo I don't think it's an age thing & I've never really seen fans of any other team as "the enemy". Steve aged nearly 39.
