the Wolves knuckledraggers coming steaming into the riverside is not that distant a memory
Wrexham will always be the number one rivalry for me
how could it be Telford? When I started supporting Shrewsbury as a five year old boy telford were 3 divisions below us and the kind of team you would go and see once a year just to see what it was like down in the basement
Walsall were a far smaller club than us for years! Just over 10 years ago we poached Wayne Clarke from them because we could afford higher wages!
But Wrexham are the rivals, Gary bennet doing the funky chicken in front of the riverside, Paul Evans from 25 yards, Lee Jones winner in injury time, Jemmo's header, awesome
how could you possibly understand what it is like to have decent rivalry? This is the first year you have had anything remotely decent in terms of rivalry and it cost you your club just to come near us

A fair analysis Throbs!
Don't rule us out of the current fight just yet though!

Agreed. I see Telford in the Conf for 04/05, but with 12 points dropped for a CVA. From then on, it's in the players' and gaffer's hands, whoever they may be. If they prove they can run on a shoestring budget, that's enough for the officianados. If they survive the drop with whoever they have after the points deduction, they will have done well, and they will deserve credit.
But, as a fickle STFC fan, it would stilll be nice to see them struggle to stay up ON THE PITCH.

I don't think the 12-point rule comes into effect until after the 31st!

If it's not sorted by May 31 what are the chances of Telford ending the season on -points.

Hang on. We can't be rivals with Wrexham or Walsall. But for the last 50+ years TUFC have only had one rival - us - and for the vast vast majority of that time you've never been close to us! You lot are funny without realising it

I'm lovin it lovin it lovin it Telford? Footballing rivals? MY ARSE 1 Season does not make us rivals! How many times have we played you in the Football league? How many times have we played you in the league cup? Yup, diddly sqaut, nowt, zilch, nil. The likes of the Walsall, Wrexham even Kiddy and Hereford but Telford? The truth hurts TUFC.

Can remember being really pleased one pre-season because we'd beaten the Wolves and then remembered that we were a Div 2 club, they were in Div 4

If Telford are our serious rivials then so must Walsall, Manchester United, Bolton,Wolves, Birmingham etc... because we've played them all more times than Telford.
