yeah but 50 coaches with 50 people in is only 2500... so if everyone else goes by car, and if 5 people travel in each car, that's ......um.......er......a lot. or a convoy of 2,100 cars, to be precise!!! Now that would be cool

If the coaches and cars all start out at the same time (ish) there could be a 20 mile traffic jam who's going M6 and who's going A53?

I'll be going down the Newport/Eccleshall road , but will probably get stuck in traffic due to the army of shrews fans who live in telford ;D

I should leave early Ant or you'll get caught behind the Aldershot coach nice one VodkaVic To be honest most say there leaving about 10:30 ish remember theres no real fast road to Stoke from Shrewsbury or telford and approx 13,000 people will be travelling in the same direction, i personaly would leave alot earlier and get to the stadium earlier with plenty of time. As soon as you hit the motoway junction/island that joins the A50 it will be mad, remember this has to be one of the biggest and most important game in STFC history.

Im leaving 8.30 9AM - get to the Garderners early and leave the car there all day
PS might be able to share a short cut (well not shorter but quicker) out of the area avoiding the traffic after the game - im looking into it at work as im In Stoke and Darby this week - stay tuned

Glad I'm travelling via Telford, Newport Eccleshall and Stone and then up the A34.
Christ it will be like that scene from the film "Bridge too Far" where Miachael Caine's tanks get waved through after the temporary bridge has been built.

A 53 to Newcastle is a top road apart from the bit by the Swan with Two Necks

A work around for getting back - for people parking in Stoke/Boothen/West End would be London Road to Trent Vale and then take the A34 to Newcastle. You could then do a loop and approach the roundabout next to Junction 15 from the north to get back onto the road to Shrewsbury.

A534 and A500 South. Shouldn't have any problems at all, as I can't see many coming to the match from Wrexham

ellesmere - whitchurch - market drayton - loggerheads - stoke - for us, just setting out now remember south car park users get off at the Trentham roundabout, not for the Stadium (so Russ told me)

Be warned, was on the A50 earlier and it mentions that there're are roadworks in Stoke with "delays possible".
Hopefully they'll move them out of the way but I haven't seen where they are. (The A50's the road the Britannia's on)

I drove past the Britannia on my way to Leek last week. The roadworks are beyond the junction where we fork off for the actual stadium and I cannot see them causing us any trouble on Sunday.
