Whoever this is, assuming its a Town fan, my hotmail blocked a email you sent, saying that your address had perminat fatal errors.
Had an attached file called "your_picture.pif (296 bytes)"
and asking me to read it.
Anyone else had this problem???

I have had 2 dodgy emails in the past 2 days - both with attatchments, one from a blue yonder address, yahoo refused to open them due to being a virus

Yep, almost deffo a virus! Virtually without fail, any file ending in .pif, .scr or .exe that is unexpected will be a bad 'un. Also watch out for so called "security updates" from the big banks. These are known as "phishing" scams, and the links in the emails normally end up being a mock-up site designed to steal your login info.

I had 3 today, all with "respectable" looking email addresses, one of them was from someone @bbc.co.uk!!
Norton wiped all 3 out

skip the problem is likely to be at your end
ade plimmer had one from pilch@blue-and-amber.co.uk last week that address is only a forwarding email addy and can't even send mails
there is a virus going round that picks a random address from your address book and makes it appear that they have send you a mail with an attachment as you are likely to know the sender you may open the attachment thinking it is safe
