although we lost we marked rodgers and aiston out of the game in the ssc final i remember And as a result more space was given to our other players which resulted in us scoring three goals. Remember football is a team game!!

Funnily enough Sam came on in that game with 5 minutes left to replace Fitzpatrick. We also took our foot off the peddle, but on tuesday we wont.

A victory for us was a fair result in that tie. You played much better second half but the last 10 minutes belonged to Town who forced another couple of excellent chances which someone stayed out. Tuesday night should be interesting.

Before you do anything hasty let us see what you are going to write on your flag and we will check it to see if you've spelt everything correctly.

Yawn! To be Murphy is a good player, with a lot of potential. We at ALS sponsored his kit, and we exepcted him to eventually replace Lukey Boy one day. Thing was last season, he didn't really produce the goods. In the reserves he looked awful at times. However the KR influence had a lot to do with it I guess. Had Quinny been here and had chance to assess the players rather than RW, i think he would have stayed. Fairplay you have an excellent player, and if he can learn of Mills, and Naylor he will score goals. There again it's a shame he will have to be successful elsewhere when Andy Sahw gets fed up with his Telford play thing and closes you down. Probably a lot quicker after losin on Tuesday night!

lol i think anyone would rather have Murphy than Rodgers at the minute. LOL a.shaw spends 15million then closes us down, that would make sense ;D

Max Griggs is 65 and is retiring. He was involved in Northampton and fell out with them so he decided to form a football club to rival them. Now R&D are in a higher division than Northampton - mission accompished, what more else is there for him to do.
Fair play to him - not everyone has manufactured a Football League club out of nothing. Don't believe it will ever happen again to be honest.
At least Max saw things through at R&D. Other people that get involved in non-league football just use the experience so that they can move on to get on the board of a bigger club. Then they recoup their investments leaving their old club high and dry.

Ade why defend Quinn and blame Ratcliffe for the Murphy release? RW is clueless about players obviously. But surely Quinn would have taken his advice about Murphy from his mate Chic who had already worked ;D with him. My source close to the club tells me Ratcliffe was going to offer him a contract and the release of players at the end of the season was a joke

Let's face it - Murphy didn't get a game under Ratcliffe...
and he wouldn't have got a game even if JQ had re-signed him during the summer.

Now if he had re-signed there was always a chance - until JQ knows what his best XI is - that he could have broken through.
But the move away from Shrewsbury was clearly the making of him. A new place and a new lease of life. Similarly Jags.
