This is what happens when you give young kids all that money and over hype them in the press. Footballers these days don't seem to know the difference between right and wrong, and have a feeling that they are invincible. I hope the book is thrown at them if it is true. But is this as BLACK AND WHITE as I am lead to beleive?

I wouldn't judge anyone on this until the truth is found. It could be another case of a women crying rape when nothing's really happened.

Love them or hate them - you just have to look at what the Hamiltons and John Leslie has been put through just for the sake of publicity and perhaps some people just trying to cash in on things like this.
I know John Leslie has been proved innocent and the same with matthew Kelly. But I don't know about anyone else, but I have never seen them in the same light since. And the tradgedy is that the accusers have never been named.

"innocent until proven guilty" mean anything any more?
The one I do feel sorry for is Dave Jones who is a nice bloke and a good manager.and Craig Charles which meant the end of Red Dwarf.
Both were proved innocent but mud sticks.

I hope to god this is a false story. Football as had enough knocks of late with Drugs, Gambling, Violence and Booze. However, if it is true the players involved should never be allowed to kick a football in the league again. Irrespective of the fact some weren't ivolved with the said allegation, they were still in the room watching and did nothing to stop it from happening.
[glow=red,2,300]Innocent until proven guilty applies to both parties involved[/glow]

I don't agree with all of that last statement. If you saw someone murdering someone else but didn't stop the murderer would that make you as guilty?

Phil, if you were in a room where another man was raping a woman I would like to think you would stop him. Can't see what there is to disagree with in what BillBo has written...

I notice no Conference players were involved. One look at the tackles in this division and she would have run a mile.

Christ I would stop them yes, however remember we're talking about footballers here - they may not be as moral as you or me (stereotyping or what ) My main point was that you can't punish someone just because they've not stopped someone from commiting a crime however bad it is

I totally agree that it's wrong for anyone to be named who is accused of rape until it is proven. As people have said earlier, reputations have been destroyed. I think its right that the papers shouldn't be allowed to name them people who haven't been found guilty but this is football - the one industry where these accusations will come out.
Whenever the team in question play their next game, what's going to happen?
As I see it, either, a. the players in question won't be playing, b. they'll play but their team mates/opponents will shun them. and definately c. the opposition boo them the whole game and make sure everyone in the crowd/tv/radio can hear it. No lawyers can stop this.
By the way, Pete will you still be following that particular team?
