Having thought about waht i am about to say for two days i hope i do not offend any one by bringing it up again. But bring it up i feel i must, in the light of events this week. Dwaine chambers banned for two years and alife time ban from the olympics whilst appealing. Rugby league player at workington banned fro two years. Rio at man utd 8 months ?? it strikes me as odd.
Dwaine possible career without injury 6 years at the top Rugby player lower league poor pay poor prospects two years. Although nothing was ever positive or proved i cannot help but think playing for man utd playing career possible ten years plus, earning £40,000 a week appears to enable you to bypass rational and sound sporting rules. If i sound bitter i apologise but i think football has sadly missed the target. Am i a lone ranter, any other views.

The dodgy thing with Rio is that he allegedly passed his test a few days later.Football in general is too weak with drug offenders, not just in this country(Jaap Stam).I remember that Ed Giddins (cricket) was banned for a year for taking recreational drugs whilst at Sussex.

Without wanting to re-open the Rio case .....
Shopping for 2 hours in Manchester city centre, and the only bloke to recognise him was Eyal Berkovic ? (THE BLOKE HE ROOMED WITH WHEN THEY PLAYED TOGETHER AT WEST HAM!)!!!!!!
The decision suggests proof was not conclusive in which case that was one hell of let off!!
