Me n A*******dagain have, as promised to Grecian on this board a week ago loaded 500 of your English pounds on Betfair tonight . We have laid Chester at 2.34 to 1 (rough betting terms that is 11/8). If Chester win, we lose 500 quid (bad, but weve made that tonight and some ). If enough greedy Chester fans take up the wager we stand to win 370 quid if Woking win or the game is a draw ;D Grecian, me old son ! DO YOU WANT SOME !!!!!

Re your other post to Kickin about having balls when betting 450 of the 500 pounds we put up went unmatched and is automatically returned to my bank account! Talk about not having Balls ! For 5 minutes you were 2 - 1 up and still no Chester fans fancied having a bet (for which I am kinda grateful)

You sir are a plonker. Let me explain.....a Grecian is a fan of Exeter City and as I am a cestrian (note the difference in spelling there did you?) and post as cestrianblue even you should be able to work out where this CESTRIAN comes from.
Is it any wonder nobody talks to you?

Did you really make more than £500 last night? And are you in profit on the site overall? Just looking around, very interesting indeed. Do you find in-running bets provide the best value? Some of these bets are a bit odd - someone willing to bet £8 on Liverpool being relegated if they are given odds of 1000/1 - that's just giving your money away, but I presume to take a quid of that bet, you'd need a grand in your betfair account?

I also notice someone is willing to bet on Ricardo winning Back to Reality when he has already been eliminated. Again though, there is not enough money in my account to take that bet on.

spot on Pilch its a crazy exchange sometimes people tie up shed loads of money trying to lay absolutely ludicrous things.......................no wonder Betfair are laughing all the way to the bank, theyre copping all the interest the mug layers should be getting..............
Having said that its great in a strong market with plenty of activity you'll usually find someone willing to give you the odds you want but you have to be realistic and dont expect 4/1 about 6/4 chances................good fun too during live events, get some massive changes in prices.
Good fun and certainly the future of betting IMO...........

I dont have an account but being a neighbour of the ghosts I pop round regularly and get him to put bets on for me on his account. Me and him bet short term only (never let them earn interest) and will deposit never more than for 2 or 3 days maximum. The value is there for all to see. 2mins plus injury time to go in the Leeds Liverpool game yesterday and you could get 100/1 Liverpool and 25/1 leeds. I had 2 quid on each. As it happens lost on this occasion, but a last minute spectacular save by the Liverpool keeper all but gave me 52 quid

Aye Aye, I note someone has suddenly loaded some money on betfair and is willing to accept upto 100 quid at 5/1 about the Town winning the FA Trophy. That wouldn't be someone from about 35 miles to the North West of here would it

You can't withdraw it once you agree to stand a bet. But you can take up that bet yourself to stop anyone else taking advantage of it (which amounts to the same thing. (IE you accept you own bet to avoid a doomed payout)
