a lot of my thoughts have been posted above. but my 1 suggestion for improvements is to do with the programmes. i have now been 4 times and havent once seen a programme seller. maybe im just blind but the route i take, past the away stand to the west stand, turnstile 14 doesnt seem to have any on the way. i think a good suggestion, as so many walk to the game would be to have a little kiosk by the main entrance selling them with a sign above to let people know there's 1 there. and of course the gate in the corner needs opening

I'm guessing there's not much the club can do about this - but for midweek games at the Gay Meadow, I used to be able to take the afternoon off work, pop up from London for a night game, and get the last train back (sometimes involved leaving five mins early, and a run from the GM to the station, and a very late arrival back at Euston, but it worked).
Now, there's no chance of getting the last train home, so no chance of me going to a midweek game this season - which is a shame with games like Fulham and Posh coming up.
Anyone else finding this to be a problem?

Anyone else finding this to be a problem? Prob your best bet is finding a Salop fan who lives in Brum and getting a lift back with them to New Street (or alternatively to Wolves) after the game?

Good The Stadium - it looks and feels excellent, good views, leg room and atmosphere (I enjoyed our stadium more than Wembley, faint praise, I know, but...) Transport plan - seems to be working v well on the whole (well the club's side of the bargain anyway)
Almost there Tannoy has improved but was breaking up Collier style at times Scoreboard info (results, not displaying anything) - I'm sure experience will improve this
Cannot say? Couldn't see any programme sellers, and didn't bother with buffet given the queue/scrum
Club's number one priority Ticketing - As a season ticket holder, it's easy, but I have sympathy for other supporters eg a friend with 2 young children travelling down from the North West can often only make a last minute decision to come, so not paying at the gate is an issue for him. Website needs sorting quickly, from tales on here the phone lines need more manpower
The other "number one" priority for the relevant authorities Pedestrian access MUST be sorted out immediately - it is a disgrace. Oteley Rd and Meole island are accidents waiting to happen. A second pedestrian access on the town side of the ground would also help greatly.
Finally looking forward to... A great season and future on the pitch Getting rid of that naff monstrosity of a badge and going back to the Loggerheads

Just a thought on the program selling issues, why can't programs be sold along with the park and ride ticket....?

2 issues all the rest are window dressing!!
Ticketing, make it easy for people, if cashless stadia are the order of the day for whatever reason, then make it easy to get a ticket. This so called teething problem need addressing asap, supporters will give up in a couple of weeks.
Access, one shared pedestrian and vehicular access onto the Otelely Road is a nonsense, how many experts have been involved and consulted on these arrangements. They do not work. No footbridges to safely get pedestrians away instead of competing with cars. Inadequate unlit footpaths, this is not a teething problem, it is a fundamental failure in design and must be a priority. How can we hope to secure a safety certificate for the full capacity with such glaring omissions. Saturday was bad enough. These comments have gone to the club via the feedback form, interested to receive their response.

Good points: Cashless Turnstiles: A great improvent IMO, access to the stadium is now very quick compared to old Meadow. Will pay dividends if there is a major Cup/League game with 7000+ fans. Atmosphere: A lot noisier and vibrant than the old Meadow. Catering: Top notch food, bar is a nice touch. Prices are resonable. In general, the facility is a great improvement on the old ground and the club and people who battled for this must be commended To be improved: Matchday ticket queues: Seem pretty long, at risk of putting off casual supporters. The online and telephone booking facilities need to be sorted and pushed, to encourage more fans (especially exiles) to book in advance. Scoreboard: Is great, but seems a little tempramental. Tannoy: Improved drastically at Bradford match, but could do with being more powerful ideally. Food Queues: Resemble a scrum at half-time, no order to the queues. Perhaps some barriers (similar to the ones you get in a bank) could be installed. Concourses: Proper walkways need to be marked out to enable people to pass through without having to push. Bad points: Access/egress from stadium in general. (I appreciate more of a council/Highways matter ) Oteley Road is inadequate. Footpaths are being widened, but path on left hand side needs to be tarmaced for safety reasons, it is uneven and gets muddy/slippery on wet days. People should be encouraged to use public footpath behind Sainsbury's, a proper walkway should be installed to the gravel path which runs behind the training pitch, would help stem the crowds leaving from main entrance. Frankly, Meole Island is an accident waiting to happen. Proper pelican crossings need to be installed, with temporary speed limits of 20mph in vicinity of stadium and Meole Brace Retail Park, to reduce chances of a fatal collision.

We need some sort of cover for fans queuing for tickets when it's raining. It's O.K. for season ticket holders, but for the Bradford game, lots of people got soaked. Some sort of retractable cover can't be that expensive. Otherwise fair weather fans will choose to stay away on wet days. I can't believe this wasn't thought of.

What about some sort of shelter for the Park & Ride, when you have to stand around for 30 minutes if you don't get on the first set of buses back to Harlescott A lot of people don't want to wait in the bar. Or perhaps some extra buses when a bigger crowd is expected? The club must be able to give some info to the bus operators a day before the game about number of tickets sold!!

STFC umbrella's in the club shop I'm thinking about the elderly and very young. During a cold January day or evening, it's very unfair to let them get wet and then sit around for 3 hours in the ground. Also, at a lot of grounds, an umbrella is construed as a potential weapon.

re. Park & Ride...
No problems with P&R TO the ground, and overall am impressed with the service, especially now they have bus stops.
But, one quick observation - The P&R tickets say to retain them for the return journey, but I've not yet seen anyone checking tickets as people board the return coach. I'm guessing this means that anyone could catch a P&R bus from the stadium without having to pay? Perhaps a need for drivers, or extra stewards, to check tickets?

Does anyone remember the programme called "Back to the floor?" It might not do some of our Directors and Executives any harm to spend a match day as an ordinary fan. I don't mean that in a nasty way, but it would give them an insight to the problems we face, and they might come up with some ideas.

Good
Excellent viewing Excellent playing surface Good acoustics Good leg room Reasonable ticket prices
Bad
The 0871 number…..I think I’ve said plenty about this already. Possible solution - a 01743 number or at the minimum a 0845 local cost number.
The free for all for at the food and drink counters. Possible solution - if the Club can’t install permanent barriers for queuing what about temporary barriers you see at airports that are like retractable seat belts?
Unable to buy a drink at half time. Possible solution – if the Council won’t allow this then the Club should appeal that decision if they can its clear trying to reason with them hasn’t got that far.
The interior of the concourses are incredibly grim. Possible solution – working with fans groups on a programme of works to make this more attractive and pleasant experience for fans.
No dedicated supporters bar. Possible solution – now the Club have to provide the Community facilities on site then the changing block should be enlarged to provide a decent sized supporters bar. This might require planning permission but this should be obtainable. This could double for use during the week for events and those using the facilities. Please S.T.F.C don’t miss this chance!
The roof doesn’t cover enough seats and people are getting wet. Possible solution – no idea how easy it is to extend the roof but plastics should be made available for fans if required.
Pedestrian access and lighting on the approaches to the stadium need improving before there is a serious accident. Possible solution – Club to lobby the County Council to seek improvements to paths and lighting.
Score board is affected by the strip light in front of it. Possible solution - remove strip light or if it needs to remain fit light with a switch so it can be switched off whilst game is on.
