Once again we football fans are tarnished with causing trouble without a thread of proof. Reading in the Shropshire star of the vandalism caused to the charity christmas tree at shrewsbury station, by Hereford fans. Is it any wonder that football fans get such a bad name! Especially as it now seems this was not done by fans at all but by local youths not connected to football in any way. But how many people know this? The media is all to keen to print front page headlines of utter rubbish, and then two weeks later in an unconected article in the dark recesses of the paper, let us know the truth. How many people who read that original article still think that the football fans caused the damage. I'd bet 80% at least! If we are to get the new meadow we cannot afford to have such negative publicity.

I'd love it to change but can't see it myself. Newspapers love headlines like that, it sells papers
