Did anyone realise that we have the best defensive record at home in the top five leagues (sharing with a couple of others)
We gotta say we've been lucky with injuries at the back. Who would come in as a replacement if one did get injured/suspended?
Do we not need to bring in a new defender before deadline day? Surely there is too much at stake......

But who - we are not going to get a really good defender to come in and play second fiddle for the rest of the season!!!
And im sure that Quinny beilives that Sedge would do there if the unthinkable happens!!!

And I think Sedge would do a good job there too
What about earlier in the season when Tinno had a few games out.... Sedge did a perfect job
its left back we need most!

Still think we need someone. If Sedge went into the middle. What happens on the left?
Rioch - not my favourite. Drysdale - may leave by then but will Quinny play him? Stephens - Would it be fair to play him in a play-off/ crucial matches with League status on the line?

I really don't understand what is going on with some players in the squad.... Why can't the likes of Drysdale and Fitzy even get onto the bench???
Strange........

Poor Leon - remember when he got his chance last season - thought he was real good - and i hope that its not the last time he plays for the club - he is deffo the most overlooked player at the club this season - cant undersatnd why he never really makes the bench!!!!
He is not on loan is he??

No he is back with us which makes his and Ian's situation look very strange indeed

Sedge played central defense for a few games earlier on in the season and looked very shakey, he has a tendancy to overun the ball and get out of position. Also his habit of letting the high ball bounce first would have to cease.
Moss in central defense, he's strong, quick and has got a brilliant tackle, then you could either put Gregor on the left+sedge on the right or leave sedge where he is and put Leon back in.

Sedge hasn't let us down at centre-half this season; in fact we had two clean sheets with him there earlier in the season. I'd be happy to play him centre half and bring in a new loan signing should the need arise.

disagree ant, yes we may have kept some clean sheets, but his hesitancy was very nerve wracking and led to some nervous defending.
A player playing at centre half needs to head the ball before its bounced, for one reason or another Sedge doesnt normally do this.
