Mrs Lion must be Employee of the week !
my 5 year old daughter to her first ever game last saturday, Mrs Lion singled her out and handed her a sweet. Really made her day! She told all her friends at school on monday who are now pestering their parents to be taken to a game!
Good PR Mrs Lion !

Ian, whats beat the pro? Can't seem to find owt on ShrewsWeb about it our kid, how does it work?
Got to be plenty of people on B&A who are worthy of fan of the week int there? Come on people, you know the lads and lasses on here? Has PPP, PILCH, Ant, JP, TBH...and too many others to mention been fans of the week yet?

This is a really good feature that we don't want to lose from lack of interest
and Afro has already been Fan of the week ;D

A good new feature would be non-fan of the week. Bloke next to me in the family stand won it hands down last saturday ! "Why is Darby Still on the Pitch" cue goal 1 " Why are they letting him take free kicks" cue goal 2 " Not from there O'Conner / Darbys goal was a fluke" cue goals 3 and 4. "Come on Luke chase it" (Luke having been sent off 10 minutes previously)

Beat the pro stutty is a feature where you answer the same 10 questions as a player from the club, and see who comes out on top . At the next home game the questions and who said what are printed in the matchday programme along with the current leader board, JP's currently top with a 10 out of 10, although i'm sure whitters rang him up while he was in front of his pc useing "google" to obtain his answers.

I had a thought the other day about fan interaction – we know that no where near half the fans ever see this message board, but some interesting things are discussed (when we are not arguing!) would it be feasible to do a current latest hot topic type of an article (every week) – Im sure that I have seen a similar thing in some other programmes over the years! - And it could bring the subject e.g. this week fans views on winning the league or cup – Strike Force issues – Kevin Streets Place at Shrewsbury – Early player of the season voting – Letter s in the Paper and all the other intresting stuff (not the mundane crap that starting to fill the board - kidding)
If you think it’s a good idea – and The bosses of the board say its ok – I would have no problem doing it but as I say I don’t wanna step on anyone’s toes as the B and A articles as they are a top class – its just sometimes I feel they can be a little Off Topic – by that I mean not focused on events over the preceding few weeks
And I can do fan vs player thing if you want – drop me a email anytime up to the end of the season (as long as its against Cramb!!!!)

Nice one Telford our kid, thats made me chuckle that!!! What is then general knowledge or all things Town? Is it only Afro who posts on B&A who has been 'Fan of the week'? Surely not?..

fan of the week just isn't about mentioning someone, you have to write 4 or 5 paragraphs on why they should be fan of the week

(Nearly late for work- as usual!!)
To whom (notice this is my best grammar!!!) - To WHOM does one write to nominate the fan of the week? I can think of a few who do consitently great work for STFC.
Would be quite willing to write a few paragraphs.

Ian our kid, wouldn't it be better if we could just nominate someone and then they answer a set of questions (first game, fav player, where you stand at the Meadow etc etc)?
Sure you'd have more people to include in the program then?

Did he use to moan about Jemmo non stop
