NO GOAL

I know Burton have grounds to complain regarding the last minute effort which possibly crossed the line but that apart it was one of the most one sided games about. Based on the balance of play they deserved nowt. However that's the beauty of football - and I guess I wouldn't change it for anything

Reading the match report in the Star today reminded of the first half goal which Burton had disallowed My gut feeling at the time was we may have got away with one, the report seems to confirm this saying that Howie and Moss collided and that Ducros scored a good goal? www.shropshirestar.com/sport/football/publish/article_13231.shtml

Ref blew well before the ball was in the net, so I am not sure he would have scored, and he did seem to jump into Howie a bit, but it was the collision with Moss which injured him I think.

that pic looks pretty conclusive to me with 2 players behind howie, he'd need pretty long arms, plus eyes in the back of his head to scoop a ball out that was over the line

Can't be conclusive from that angle Pilch

2 b honest pilch i think it looks like howies hand is more infront of the ball than what it is behind!

lowe is leaning on the post, ridler in front of lowe, howie in front of ridler, howies arm isn't even streched out,
that ball is clearly at least 2 feet in front of the line !

Yes but from this angle it looks like Ridler could be more next to Lowe, with just his shoulder sticking in front, and similarly with Howie.
Who knows?

Pilch, you simply can't draw those conclusions from that angle owd lad, you can interpret it that way if you wish but it's completely subjective and inconclusive

damn i wondered how long it would be before someone mentioned that (howie was on the floor when he scooped out the other) it just goes to show that people have already made up their minds and even when shown a different shot they are still convinced the ball is over the line
