This is for both lads and lasses- you lads like clothes as much as we girlies do, these days! What, apart from your Shrewsbury shirt, do you most like wearing; what makes you feel great every time you wear it. I've just bought myself a long winter coat- quite dramatic -looking with lots of fur. My son-in-law bought my daughter a similar new coat last year- and she looked very exotic as she swept through the village of Hinstock, like a Russian Princess, as we walked to The Falcon!!!! I vowed that I'd get a similar coat in the sales. I may be well past my sell-by date, but this coat makes me feel glamorous!!

I like wearing my Blue and amber t-shirt. My long trousers up to my neck, and a hat to cover up the size of my head.

I've got a long balck coat that I wear as both casual and smart. It's lovely and warm and was cheap in the sales last year

Pilch could never set up in business as one of those photographers who make you look good, could he? "Choose Pilch Wedding Photography- guaranteed to make every bride look like the Bride of Frankinstein" He made me look like a cross between Camilla Parker-Bowles on a BAD day- and Desparate Dan in drag!!! I wouldn't mind but I had a reputation around here as being a Glamorous Grandmother, at one time!!!! I was traumatized for weeks after that photo!!! I know the camera doesn't LIE- (though it certainly did in your case, TOAO!) But.... when I had my last graduation photo done (My M.Ed) the photographer knew how to make a lady of my vintage look O.K!!!! Has that diet had effect, I wonder- or his he ripe for revenge?!!!!!!

Lots of interesting stuff on here. I must admit, I've always liked clothes, even though I've never had much spare cash to spend on them- I like the creative aspect. I knew a lot of dress design students (as well as would-be song-writers and poets) when I lived in Liverpool in the 60s. A lot of it was pure creativity- and not caring what "the Establishment" thought- a lot of us would go to "Paddy's Market" and pick up vintage clothes to wear along with new ones. Or we'd make our own clothes on battered old sewing machines. We even had people from a late-night T.V. programme of the time coing to interview us about our clothes- and they borrowed some of our vintage stuff. I noticed a shop in Wyle Cop that sells some interesting stuff- THAT's what I'd have gone for when I was younger. A bit theatrical. But then, I was obviously destined to leave all frippery and frolics behind- and do something to be of more serious nature- being a special needs teacher. (I hasten to add, for the benefit of animal-lovers- of which I'm one, it isn't REAL fur trimming on my new coat- it's only fake-fur. But Oh, Boy! Am I getting a kick out of wearing it- I feel like a million dollars! ;D) (I'm doing a typical Wiggy again- rambling - and way off target. I'm off to bed- work again tomorrow!)
