Anyone who was standing on the Tech End today can't help but notice the massive amount of abuse that Walker in the S/boro goal was subjected too. All in all i thought he it quite well with only a couple of reactions. Can anyone remember an opposition player being given such a hard time.

LET ME SEE: Gary Bennett Tont Ellis Steve Kerrigan John Mcginley (whilst for Bury) But nothing will ever compare with the abuse coloured players from opposing clubs used to sadly get. Wolves George Berry and Oldham's Rodger Palmer were the worst hit.

I'd have expected loads off abuse to have gone towards Southends Daniel Gay

It was a funny moment when the afore mentioned Mr Gay played against us away at Southend a couple of seasons ago, we shrews do know how to give it out. By the looks of it we might pass them on the way back up

Carlisle arent getting enough points now and Macclesfield have signed a useful but a relegation haunted player. Paul Harsley: two seasons ago with Halifax =Relegation, last season Northampton(Cobblers) no Northampton=Relegation, this season Macclesfield ?

maybe it had something to do with the w**ker gesture he gave the riverside fans very early in the game oh and the time wasting which came back to haunt him

Zico (Taylor) used to get a shed load of abuse of a fair amount of the Wakeman end when we used to stand on there.
There was also a vetron centre forward, quite large (gut wise) who played against us for Bournemouth a few time in div2, he used to get shed loads of abuse.
Nigel Jemson? Atkins?

Who abused Zico? I miss him, the last player we had who could pass (except maybe Rigby)

Just read in the programme that Walker is only 22! He'll be a big lad when he grows up

The most abuse i remember was a few years ago away at Torquay, when big nev Southall was in goal. I almost broke several ribs laughing and then Lee Steele broke the light behind the goal and an electrician was called for over the tannoy. Absolutely hysterical

Grobbelaar came to the Meadow with Plymouth sometime around when the match fixing scandal was in the press and folks on the Wakeman End were waving tenners at him

Orient a couple of years ago when Ashely someone played in goal for them and everytime he got the ball the whole away end shouted Ashely in a high pitch voice.
Then when we were told to sit down by the Stewards the chants of "Sit down Ashley, Sit down Ashley" He replied with a V sign

Your right PPP, loads of people were waving £10 notes at him, yet he still the time on the half time whistle to turn around to the wakeman end and sign some autographs (I know as he signed a pic from the star of him for us).
Later on in the game the riverside were chanting abuse at him and he came out of his area and started playing the violin in their direction and trying to conduct them.
Oh and he also rugby tackled a fan who ran on the pitch. What a star, absolute quality, i think he actually made the macth interesting. What a star.

Your 're wrong , he's not a star he's a cheat. Any ability he had as a goalkeeper was stained by the stench of corruption that followed him after the publication of his "misdemeanours". He tainted our game for personal benefit and he should never be forgotten for that.

he hasnt actually been charged with match fixing.
He got off on a technicality.
I'm sure he's not the only player (past or present) who has connections with these sorts of people.
I was just praising him for the entertainment he bought to that game in particular.
