news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/olympics_2012/6718243.stmSack o' cack as Paul Calf might say. Oh, and apparently cost £400,000!! Olympics Minister Tessa Jowell said: "This is an iconic brand that sums up what London 2012 is all about - an inclusive, welcoming and diverse Games that involves the whole country. "It takes our values to the world beyond our shores, acting both as an invitation and an inspiration. Have you ever heard such bollox?

Shhhh!
Don't mention Clip art.
Whitters is listening.
Personally it looks quite "urban" which is what these games are.
Let's not pretend London is a Garden City.

It looks just what you would expect if you left 20 hand wringing apologist Liberals alone for a week with only the Guardian to read.

Taken from the BBC News Website. A design by a Graham Coe (surely not a relative of Seb ;D) who suggests: "The origin of the Olympic Logo" There are more suggested alternatives at: Link------> BBC News

Why on earth would "apologist liberals" come up with a design that looks like a mal-formed day-glo swastika?

When I see that I am grateful for Lenny on ours! when you put it like that, you realise that the olympic logo isn't that bad. it is going to "evolve" each year and after 2012 be obsolete. we could be stuck with that stupid lion for years.

Absolute tosh, and the usual pretentious crap espoused by those connected to it. Fair play to whichever design consultancy managed to take the p**s and invoice £400k for that s**te and get it paid
