When you look at the amount of midfield players we have got . Tolley J . Tolley G. Edwards O conner Street Aiston . I am amazed we struggle to put out a reguler team that plays well.If we cant pay any more wages we have to use players like Lowe Sedgemore Darby out off position, and that does not seem the answer, I would buy Alex Smith for the left Midfield and put Aiston on the right.Maybe a contribution from Colin Poole?

The cross that set up Lowe yesterday was with his left foot... He also provided the cross for DD & Lukes certain goal but there GK pulled off a double supurb save.

The great thing this season is that Sam has improved is attitude and game so much that he is talked about as a regular team member .He needs to earn more freekicks in the box and has proved when coached well and motavated he can drag and beat a number of defenders at will. What we need is a copy on the other wing or a player that can tackle and cross at a high standard

The cross that set up Lowe yesterday was with his left foot... actually yesterday was totally weird... cos sammy was doin wel wiv his left.... but ant i argue this.... how many times this season hav we seen sammy beat his man wiv ease goa nd cross wiv his left foot and it either go straight to the keeper or straight out? also there is an arguement sayin pires is right footed... but were talking differetn gravy there

How many times this season have we seen Aiston produce the quality of cross with his right foot that he did with his left yesterday? Very few.
He's doing a good job on the left, keep him there.

TelfordShrew where did he cross the ball from for that chance you mentioned? i'm not saying he's doin poorly at left wing... but the amount of chances he gets the put quality balls in and fails... it just annoys me... just a personal opinion but heh... cos of course our midfield is really solid at the moment isn't it

I have been thinkg about this and i came up with a strange solution/ What we need is anoter astion on the right wing a quick skillfull attacking player. Who fits that bill in our current squad - Luke rodgers, and he has the practice, hes always pulling out right and frankley upfront he is playing poor. This means that banim or Cramb can come back in and might be able to score a goal
Anyone else think that might work

hmmmm thats an interesting idea... never thought of that! get him in the reserves and practise it. see how it goes... cos your right... he is always droipping out.
the only test wud be his tracking back and his tackling and his temper. BUT worth a go!

Banim could equally be tried there give the skill he has in running past players and cutting in. Seems reasonable with both feet too. A formation/team that can encompass both Rodgers and Banim must be worthy of consideration. (Suggested that one before Christmas! ). The perfect solution is Smith - and I wasn't biased when I said straight away that he would be great at The Meadow!. Still think that's not possible given how the dressing room was last year and the impression it left on him.

:-[O dear Gp have to agree you have got a point. Ratcliffe got more out of Luke last year by playing him wide- but Ryan Lowe deserves a place somewhere. Agree with Ant on Aiston playing on the left- if it's not broke don't fix it!

i like ryan lowe coming off the bench imo... always seems more alert and energetic... and against a tired left back is always very effective.

Either Glenn Tolley or Ian Fitzpatrick could provide the answer to our right side problem, both have the ability to go past defenders and put in good crosses
Neither has been given anything like a decent chance to stake a claim for the position

Agree with PPP. We have two natural right-footed wide playersin the squad. One an up and coming youngster, another a summer signing who got into double figures from that position for Halifax last year. Wouldn't hurt to try them surely?

He's actually right footed and can play on either wing, he played on the right for Halifax sometimes
