How did he play today? With Tolley back do people think Edwards deserves to keep his place? I don't think that he will, but i feel he deserves a few more chances before the end of the season.

Did absolutely fine.
A couple of poor balls, a couple of superb ones. The lad is going to learn and I'd keep him in the team next Saturday as well.
Tolley will be back in soon but Edwards is a very very bright spark.

I think the lad's doing well and likes to get forward.
However, on the whole we've missed Tolley. I'd be inclined to give edwards a go on the right wing and play Tolley in the centre with O'Connor

Another solid display.
I think it's inevitable that Tolley will be back in the starting line up at some point though.

I think I would agree with Phil on this. Maybe try him on the right. Either that or give Glenn a belated chance!

Aiston's doing fine on the left, right wing is the real team problem

I think that the youngsters need to be brought on gradually
Jamie Tolley's return to fitness provides an excellent opportunity to drop Edwards to the bench and give him a bit of a break
Games will be coming thick and fast now and the pressure will get more intense by the week

How long until Tolley has a Dr's Paper again? How long till he changes his name to Trevor Francis?

Agree with most of the comments- Edwards's form and consistently has been a real bonus since losing Tolley- dont agree with Gp in a previous post that he was poor yesterday, far from it. But at his age a dip will come and the trick is to rest him before this happens- now in my opinion. Edwards is probably better than Tolley was at 17 but I dont think they can play in the same team, they are too similar. Tolley is one of our best players and the sooner he returns the better!

The great thing about David Edwards is the intelligent runs he makes from the centre circle diagonally to the inside right or outside right positions. He has ceated space for himself on a number of occassions when supporting an attack. It puts three of the opposition in two minds as to who is going to pick him up. I think if he switches to right midfield he would find it harder to create an impression because it would be two players' jobs to look after him.
We have so many options in midfield.

This bring on the youngsters slowly could in my opinion damage them, Youngsters are brave hardy souls, has it hindered the likes of rooney, milner, owen?? no. get Tolley on, we are static when we should be going forward, is this because we have older heads slowing down the pace of play??, gedt em in there and showing some hunger towards the enemy goal mouth at pace....youngsters are the key to this

Edwards or G.Tolley on the right-wing? Surely Ryan Lowe has to be given another chance there now that he is fit again. He also takes a mean corner, when playing in the reserves. I also believe that Edwards has a bright future in front of him, but I thought , yesterday, he got muscled off the ball a little too easily. Add to this, the fact that Tolley is more likely to get into the opposition box, and score the odd goal.
