Jimmy and the Board certainly seem to be prepared to do whatever it takes to get this season (back?) on track, so hats off to them if this Banim thing works out.
I think you're right though, this could now be the door oening for Luke to move on to bigger and better things and for us to get some cash.
I guess time will tell if this is good business or not.....

Don't much about the lad. Altho' what I do know is that signing him and selling Luke would represent a huge gamble.

Well I see your point Rob, Luke is not finding this division a piece of cake like some thought he might and whilst Town can get a nice fee for him they might as well do it. Banim only plays in a league below so he'll be more used to this type of defender.

Just read tonights star and it does make it seem that it will be a formality and the kid will be in the squat for the telford game. I personally would love to see him here squad places would be really wanted and the players might start to realise this.
as for luke - we all know its a matter of time before he goes and like always if the right bid comes in he will go.

But there have been glimpses JP.
Luke completely changed the flow of the game against Exeter, yes he's not finding it easy but he still has the quality to win us games.
I'm not slating this Banim lad, just stating that if things dont quite go to plan, the supporters could be calling the boards head come march, especially if Luke is doing the business at Crewe or wherever.
Very risky indeed.

I think this is the kind of signing we should be crying out for: a relatively young lad making his way in the game and desperate to prove he can do it at this level and higher. There's plenty of talent in the lower leagues - we got the likes of Nigel Pearson, Gary Hackett and Colin Robinson from these levels in the 1980s.
Look at Exeter - their best player against us was Dwane Lee - a pre-season signing from some lowly club I'd never heard of. Burnley are after him now.
As for Luke, we have to remember he has a career to develop. He may not have had a good year so far but the past two seasons in Div Three will be proof enough for many league managers that he can play up a few levels. He deserves the chance and I hope he gets it.

Difficult one this , we know Lukes going sooner rather than later, Crambs capable of scoring goals ,so is D Darby, but at the moment none of us can argue that we want to see Luke playing 90 mins for us at the mo.

Ryan lowe too was young player trying to make his way in the game and desperatley prove his worth. he too scored shed loads of goals in a lower league and he too is a cracking player, but he still doesnt get given a run in the team as a striker does he.
KR described him as a promising striker yet he's been played at left/right midfield for a number of seasons.
As for Luke anyone who went to Exeter will disagree with you. Luke was one of the only players who looked as if they cared, he changed the game through his force, yes we still lost but for 25 minuts we looked like a football team. That was doen to Luke.
Luke is also capable of scoring goals too.
