Can't wait for him and Luke to start together!

Well he's hardley going to walk straight into the team above Darby, Cramb and Rodgers. Thus he just has to wait his turn.

i think him and rodgers together is worth a go
we win hardly any aerial challenges with either Cramb or Darby so why bother with the big man idea?
Micheal Owen responds well to some decent long passes that open up space for him
Brazil won the world cup in 94 with Romario and Bebeto, not a lot of aerial threat there!

Problem with having Jody and Luke as the front two is convincing Quinn that it would work. He's all for putting big men upfront but the little forwards he's not happy with. Why everything has to be played in the air I will never know. Play it to their feet, those two could scare the s**t out of defenders.

I to don't understandthe reasoning behind lofting it in the air to the front two. Playing it on the floor looks a lot better, and it's something a lot of teams in the conference will be unfamiliar with (no disrespect intended). So it'd work, i am sure of it! Both know where the goal is and I think they would score goals for fun.

if they are worried about losing aerial challenges just pop the long passes into the corners and give lukey something to chase!
it is all about supply

I do feel quite sorry for banim but dont forget that this is most probably the first time he's trained full time during his football career so far. Obviously JQ thinks he's not fit enough yet. But i do agree that the partnership between luke and him would work against most teams in this league.
All the strikers are very different in the way they play. With Darby, He's a very physical player who clearly makes his mark on the pitch. Cramb, to me is a very clever player. If you watch him closely he certainly knows how to open defences up. To me he's ideal with lukey up front. You put lukey through you can guarentee he'll finish it. As for what ive seen of Banim, to me he likes to take his chances after taking players on but also can set up a few goals aswell. I think if JQ plays with 3 up front. In my opinion, when Banim is fully fit, he should play with rogers and cramb up front. But as for the two up front, i have to say rogers and cramb.
Sorry!!

I hope Darbys new club can find the secret to his playing style. Maybe a return to first team action for JQ.

I agree with Gaffer.
Still think Banim is here as replacement for Rodgers next year mind.

I can't see Rodgers and Banim working as a pairing, they're too similar, too individual and they're be little or no link up play between them
Strikers need to compliment each other to work well as a pair, generally speaking

Have to disagree PPP. Rodgers link up play the other night was excellent and he looked fine alongside the Aldershot guy. I'm not going to start the Darby/Cramb debate up, but I would note that Cramb has not yet shown ability to link up with his strike partner. He seems to link up more with the midfield. That's why I like the thought of him playing behind Rodgers and Banim, with Darby relegated to the bench. Oh wait, I did re-start the Darby/Cramb debate after all......

Disagree PPP, we play our best football on the ground, weve tried the big man up front thingy its not working, Banim does'nt have the same pace as Luke but is more skill full and creates chances, eg set up all goals Boxing Day against N'wth.
