O.k. We have failed with Leon,Greg,Jake..and that Arry Potter bloke.....Are there any quality players out there that may play 90 mins on a regular basis in the Conference ,2nd or 3rd division that may be interested to join our club?

The annoying thing is that Mossy has been so solid since his introduction to the first team - god what would we give a Left footed Left back Darren Moss.
Anyway at least we can now send Gregor to the Jungle

Potter! i think not Can you see anyone wanting to sign now that the best we can offer is the play-offs? Its a catch 22 situation we can't offer anyone new a decent contract untill we know where we are next season, nobody decent is going to come for a low wages/no contract offer We may be able to get some good loan signings in but with Jamie and Ryan on the way back why bother? And if JQ did bring in a fresh face or 2 where to play them unless it's at left back, which is our only vacancy really (sorry sedge) but i see him as a stop-gap

If Potter is still available maybe we could get him on loan until the end of the season?

Depends if he's in or out of favour at Boston I guess and what other offers he may get
A loan until the end of the season might me the best thing for both parties

Alex smith has been released by Chester hasn't he? He'd be ideal.

Altho left back has been a bit of a problem, i'd have thought that there were more acute failings in the side which proved on a regular basis to be far more detrimental to our results. Street? Strike partnership? Service.
While left back position could be better, I just think that maybe Quinn could concentrate on other aspects which are of more immeadiate concearn.
Maybe I'm wrong, but thats just what I think.

Totally agree Throb, he would be the best solution for our current difficulties. What I don't understand is this mentallity of Smith not being a very good defender, we didn't lose a game while he was here and he is equally as a good as any defender in this division. I think this should be National Wag Your Finger Day- everbody else is doing it ;D

True Shrew:
Alex Smith played in 7 defeats during his 18 games here, including the whippings by Cambridge, R&D and Boston.
Think you're mixing him with Stuart Talbot (5 league games, 2 wins and 3 draws).
I agree with what Skippy puts though. Yes, Gregor has been poor. But has that contributed to us losing any points? I would say no........

Doh! Feel free to wag that finger at me Welshshrew As for Gregor losing us points though, I have to disagree. I think he has done more than his fair share of losing possesion which ultimatley contributed to goals, for all the effort in the word he is still on par with Van Blerk as the crappest left back we've had in recent times. Good luck Gregor because your going to need it.

If he finds out we've auctioned off his shirt he won't the club can always buy it back - I'm open to offers.
