Apologies if you've allready had these, but i've been told the best way to the ground on saturday by the local police is; Get off junction 6 M56 and turn left down Hale rd (ground may be signposted from here) go to the traffic lights at delahays rd A5144 and turn right. next lights turn left into grove lane and follow this into moss lane. Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice Laptop, apparently there's a long diversion ifyou get off on Junc 19 M6. We have been warned in advance from some Alty posters already on this board.

This is easily the best route however if you decide on a different route or are coming from a different direction AVOID the M60 before 12:30 - Junction 7 (signposted Altrincham) is also the exit for Old Trafford and one junction away from the Trafford Centre and so will be a nightmare! Please DO try to arrive early. Although our ground is Football League graded, we are not blessed with the most turnstilles in the world and parking around the ground will be limited. Look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Alty's Ground is about 5 miles south down the A56 (Chester Road). You'd do well to get from OT to Alty in 25 mins on a Utd/City match day. Would be best to get the Tram from Old Trafford which takes you straight to Altrincham (although again the Tram will be very crowded). The Tram from OT takes about 15 mins then a 5 minute walk down Moss Lane to the ground.

A tip for people arriving later, parking near the ground is very restricted so leave the M56 at J7. Follow the A556 into Alty and after about 3 miles turn right on to the A560 Stockport Road (traffic lights with Cresta Court Hotel on opposite corner)
Follow A560 for about half a mile and turn right at traffic lights just past Timperley Cricket Club (on right). The Hare & Hounds is on the corner. Park there or in the residential area, plenty of room.
Opposite the Hare & Hounds is Alty golf course and the footpath behind the cricket club goes direct to the ground. Less than 5 mins walk and a decent pint of Pedigree in the H&H!
