Well well what a class set of players they were, in fairness though the england team was not far behind them - but defending and goalkeeping let them down. Stars for England Lukey, Karle Murrey adn Rosco Desane from Exeter - all shone for us. Good attendance and the riverside was on to form with some really good chants "its just like watching shrewsbury!!" and "worse than the telford" There were no italians there that i could see and only one flag
Moan of the day - typical italns cheating and diving and kicking the ball away and all that stuff. And the ref should have clamped down on the rough treatment that Luke got. Also why the hell could you not walki from the riverside to the station end - every one had to go out and come back in at half time!!!
Laugh of the game - the Lino getting hurt and being taken off and when the new lino came on to chants of "do you know what offside is" he turned around and shook his head (well he aint the only one who does not know)

Quite a few Italians there actually. One nicked my seat at half time

gpricey - i agree with what you wrote, summed it up nicely,
yes they are talented,
but they were a right lot of cheating barging kicking complaining 'I will not get back 10 yards /metres' b*st*rds,
Our lads can hold their heads up high

the difference between the two sides was the defence. England's defensive unit was extremely poor - and it gave away 4 very soft goals.
England's number 7 and number 10 caught my eye.

Roscoe D'Sane is from Aldershot and he was very impressive at NBH earlier this season, by far the best player I have seen this season to be honest!

He probably played 10 Sean, the sort of player you can't believe your team has missed out on signing, knowing he is playing at the same level???

Not at all, good touch, pace and strength. Reminded me of Darius Vassall when he burst on to the England scene a few years ago.
Can't recall the number 7's name. But the most likely candidate is Scot Kerr. Short jet-black hair - I kept mistaking him for Nigel Clough. Central Midfield. He's an excellent looking player too. Won the ball and then did something constructive with it.
You can see both of these players having a good career in the Football League.

he is a cracking player, the number 10, loads of pace and skill
rogers could hardly called one of our stars though, he only touched the ball a few times

Hi from a Shots fan who went tonight. It's funny, you know, but I didn't think Roscoe had one of his best games tonight. In fact, I was thinking the same thing about Luke Rodgers as you were of Roscoe!
Number 7 was also from Aldershot - Jon Challinor. I thought he got stuvck in well and never stopped working but I thought Adam Miller (No 6) was more creative. But for me, Morecambe's David Perkins was MOTM.
I was also very disappointed with the cynicism showed by the Italians. I lost a lot of respect for them because of their approach. Undoubted ability though.

I thought Miller was disappointing first half but was good in the second, except the set-pieces, which were poorly delivered. I don't rate Perkins at all. Second time I've seen him. The effort is there and ball control etc but I think he flatters to deceive - mainly running into blind allies.

and disappears up his own A******* when he has it.
And I've had enough of short left backs at Shrewsbury Town.

I think the benchmark for you guys are going to be Aldershot. If they turn up on form and you take points off them you'll have done well and deserve to go on and challenge at the top.
They aren't a team to underestimate though. Barnet are a decent all-round side but Aldershot can be a different class going forwards.

I thought Roscoe had a very quiet first hour to be honest, and his touch looked totally off.
The last half hour though, he was superb. Linked up a couple of times with Luke as well.
I'd guess we had at least the same amount of shots on goal as the Italians?

Not that impressed with roscoe. Could see he was a decent player but struggled with the pitch. He Had some nice touches but thought luke looked more dangerous. (Maybe blue tinted glasses) Thought the number 6 (Miller) looked ok in midfield. Have to say the italians played the usual italian game. Very frustrating but its what they are good at and have to say makes me laugh how they manage to get away with it. They know exactly how far to push the ref!! ;D Finally being welsh not that bothered with englands results performances etc but thought booing the Keeper (dont care who he plays for) is not on. Any way just my thoughts
