at least they have a poor away record and we have a very good home record so we will be favourites. I would still have licked something a little easier though. When is the match to be played by the way?

To be honest the FA Trophy doesn't concern me in the slightest this year (unless we get through to the semi's) and I'd have actually preferred another trip up to Morecambe as it was a great day out and infinately preferrable to watching it with a small crowd at the Meadow.

To be fair Morecambe wasn't the nicest of places to go to for a day out. I'd have liked a tie away at a small club in London but a home draw is always preferable in a cup tie. For the record I hope JQ gives the chance to some of the fringe players to prove their worth in this competition, it could provide some excellent experience for the likes of Dave Edwards etc.

I'd also like to see the club reduce admission prices for this game...

Yup, agree Stuty - hardly an attractive tie(for the fourth time this season ) - so ot's time for the town to reduce the prices.

Judging by those fixtures I presume the draw is regionalised?

Well on the good side we should win this and then can have one of the weaker teams in the last round, but im concerned that quinny might not take it all that serious anyway - and he might have more pressing concernes in the league come Jan.
I was also denyed entry to their ground with chips so there is more than one person here with a chip based grudge to morcambe!!!!

I've also heard Sc***horpe are the first ever League club to apply to enter the FA Trophy and will enter at the fourth round stage, just so we can draw them of course

hmmm any chance of getting some stars to my name??? hint hint* well.... hmm... dnt really know wot to say about this tie.... give some young lads a chance... who cares about a cup.... how much money do we get for winning a round??? peanuts prolly (guessing here) and i agree - reduce the ticket pricies for this one... be a nice match to celebrate my birthday.. (which is on JAN 6th) if anybody wants to buy me a present ....

Glyn - read JQ' s comments about the tie/ trophy on Shrewsbury to see how seriously he plans to take it. Spot on Stutty but I have nasty feeling that Town won't be able to make massive cuts because it's a cup tie

I have done now and your right - as of this moment he really wants to well in this cup but its in jan that we will see how well he wants it
God forbid we do really crap up untill then and are struggling to make playoffs he would really want to do well in FA Trophy as it would be a way to show he acived something this season
Or we are top of the leage with teams nipping at our heels and a slip up would be vital - Will he then be risking rodgers, cramb, Astion or Tolley in a game that could cost us further down the line (injerys, tirdness, confidence being knocked)
All teams treat the minor cups like this but it is clearl he would like to win both this and the league and thats fair enough

Can't see the point of the FA Trophy for us - I know Conference anoraks will say it means we're arrogant but stuff 'em.
I hope we don't try too hard in this one. We don't want anybody getting injured in this "competition"
Obviously I hope we win our games but let's face it - it's hardly a priority.
