Walking past the "pub" in Victoria station the other day I noticed a sign on the door regarding Football Colours. I assumed this was some anti-racism thing, but having taken the time to read it I was lefted wondering whether anybody outside football has a clue about the game and its supporters. Basically it said that at the request of the police, staff were under instruction not to servce anybody wearing football colours! Do these people, and the police, not realise that 99.9% of people wearing a football shirt are not likely to be trouble makers, while 99.9% of those who are likeley to cause trouble wouldn't be wearing colours?? They would have been better off having a sign saying they wouldn't serve anyone wearing a Burberry baseball cap or Stone Island jumper!

Totally agree and I believe some pubs in Cardiff now have signs saying 'football colours welcome' but 'no admitance for people wearing buerberry etc (within reason of course - I don't think they'd stop a businessman in a buerberry tie!)
