Don't normally comment on the refs , but today I'll make an exeption. He gave us a soft pen, ball to hand I thought. Two soft yellow cards for O'Connor, nothing wrong with the challenages IMHO. Failed to give a free kick when Moss was fouled, gave a corner from which they scored. Then missed a blatant handball at the end. By far the worst performance from a ref at any level in my 27 years of watching football, utterly unbelievably poor.

Couldnt have put it better myself, ok so the Tamworth defender had his back to the ref when he handballed in the 90th minute, so where was the linesman?!?
Think O'Connor's sending off is debatable but the Tamworth players were tackling our full backs into the advertising boards every time they tried to play the ball into touch near the byline yet the ref did nothing.
Also found it interesting to see a Tamworth player having to be restrained away from the ref after the game, so maybe we werent the only ones aggreived!

seconded.
I've never moaned on a messageboard about a ref before but this guy had to be seen to be believed - If their manager had been refing the game we would have more decisions.

" Mr G J Lewis - He is single with no Children.... his hobbies include reading"
He was the sort of person whos only thing in there life is reffereing, sad old man who is lonely and takes his frustrations with how sad he really is by annoying as many people as possible on a sat. what an absoulte ****
I think him and the ref on tuesday are the 2 worst i have ever seen back to back!

It's patently obvious that the officials in the division are appalling, but surely it's the same for every other team.
Let's stop kidding ourselves and criticising officials when there are far more obvious failings within the team to focus on.

Can't believe he could be any worse than Pollock, he's the worst i've seen and we've had to put up with him twice this season

Did you see the decision in the first half when the Tamworth player had treatment but was allowed to stay on the field of play instaed of having to walk to the touchline and ask to come back on ,basic's Mr Ref..... but his allround game was absolutely shocking. Town were up against 12 men today.

PPP, I find it hard to believe that you wouldn't have mentioned the referee's diabolical display if you were there today, it was shocking.
Although I must agree it should not hide our short-comings as a team.

I take your point PPP but this guy made Pollock look like a certain Itailian guy with no hair and sinister eyes.
Really he was that bad. My Dad ref was a (non-league !)ref and throughout my childhood I have had to endure him turning round to address the riverside with "NO the shrewsbury player WAS offside" I think it's fair to say I grew up fast and hard. Today he was shaking his head all afternoon and I heard something I thought I never thought I would "Jesus,This guy's cr*p" I've never heard him criticise officials before whereas myself I include it in my list of interests along with reading like our wonderful Mr Lewis ref
