If Exeter reach the play-offs, does the team that is supposed to play them in the the play-off semi final get a bye?

Don't really understand your question Kickin, are your referring to their possible 12 point deduction and the implications of this?

No PPP - What i am saying is that if Exeter are placed inside the playoff zone at the end of the season what happens?
I cant see them being deducted any points untill there appeal is heard in the courts and that may not be untill next season, so what happens?

Right, I see, good point
It's a mess isn't it, surely the points deduction thing has to be sorted before the play-offs are played
Either way there are serious implications, i.e. Exeter not allowed to play and then points deduction overturned or Exeter are allowed to play and then points are deducted
Other teams could then be in a position of wanting to appeal and it will rapidly descend in farce
As I say a decision before the playoffs is really a must, it's high time this was sorted one way or the other!

I think that under the rules they would be barred from the play-offs for being in a CVA. Then the team finishing sixth would take their place. There again under the rules they should have been docked twelve points by now........

Exeter should have been kicked out of the Conference now. They agreed to the rules when they joined the League.

But if the rules are ruled to be an illegal restraint of trade then Exeter will have to be reinstated to the playoffs, what if they have been played already? - This whole saga could really be a nightmare for the conference, as i see it, if the conference had a leg to stand on they would have deducted the 12 pts by now, the fact they hav'nt means they are unsure about the legality of it all...
