It's a hard one to answer, I absolutely hate losing at football so I suppose that would indicate I'm in it for the success, but then again I don't set out to win myself medals or anything, that's just the added bonus, I'm in it purely for the enjoyment factor.

Personally any sport i play i play to win. Dont really see any point otherwise. I agree with peter. Medals dont really interest as such. Just a bonus of success!! I do play for enjoyment but only time i enjoy sport is when i am winning!! ;D (as i'm a really bad loser! ) Hope this makes some sense!?!

I play squash and football mainly because I enjoy it BUT there'd be no point playing a sport if I wasn't going to try and win. My biggest motivation is trying to improve myself and my abilities in that particular sport. Practise makes perfect

Definitley a want to win. I'm no World beater in any of the sports I play (Footie squash and golf) but I don't think you could play to your highest level unless there was a motivation to win behind you.
But also because playing sport is fun!

I play cricket for the love of the game but want to win and am very competitive (but not very good).Bowls is another story,i am quite good and play to win and get very stroppy when i lose.Having said that not being able to play cricket much for the last 3 years because of a knee injury means that i can't wait for the new season now i am fully fit.

I am too old for running around so I try to play Golf. Belive it or not I just play for fun. Its a great way to unwind and get away from things. Long since given up ever trying to be good at the game Just go out and enjoy the game and the banter with whoever I am playing with.

I always played football to win. Would think about winning before the game, during it and after the game.
Since I stopped playing properly, all other sports I go to play purely for fun and to try and do my body a bit of good.
Once I'm actually playing it however, I give 100% in trying to win.
Medals are nice mind, especially in terms of memories.

Every sport i play footy, Badminton, Tennis, table tennis, golf I always play to win and get really annoyed when some one says "oh its only a game" well if thats true why the bloody hell would you even bother to play. I also think that people who dont really play to win hardley ever do!!!

I play to win but I also play to improve physic, stamina and skill. A main thing for me though is the mental and physical satisfication of running your balls and being ok at what you do, to improe on the week before is the biggest challange though.
I'm generally a good sport, but if someone tries to play dirty or taunts me then I will it increase my appertite to win 10 fold.
